Melvin Gordon just set a game record for total yards - 408 all by himself. That's freaking staggering. It's more than some teams accumulate over the course of a game. He did this against Nebraska, not some LSOP. Surely, the jaded Heisman voters will have to take notice. The three I have my eye on are the Badger, the Hoosier, and the Duck.

But we have to look at the competition he ran against Wis has had an easy schedule. Maybe Iowa and MN the last 2 games will be tougher. Gordon may play the whole game instead of sitting the 4th quarter to get some quality stats

Does anyone even care about the Heisman anymore?

This is also a direct result of all of the parity en sech... you don't have 8 1st round picks playing on offense to make a quarterback or runningback look like a god

Really? This year has two of the greatest Heisman candidates ever. There is significantly less parity than there was in the past, at least stat-wise.

Cooper won't get the trophy, but man is he fun to watch!

... unless its your team he's playing against ... then likely not so much fun.

“Once you put one person on him, you’re making a bad mistake,” Collins said. “We don’t even do that in practice.”

I would say its down to Mariota, Gordon and Cooper

Pretty much the top player at each of their positions

Agreed. Not sure who the other finalists will be. I guess Boykin from TCU and maybe Dak Prescott?

Mariota should be the easy victor.
