These are QBs who started their NFL careers in 2000s and are not active on a roster. List include ones with Pro Bowl(s).

2000

Marc Bulger

2001

Michael Vick

2002

David Garrard

2003

Carson Palmer
Tony Romo

2004

Great QB draft but all Pro Bowl QBs are active.

2005

Derek Anderson
Matt Cassell

2006

Vince Young

I stopped at 2010.

Anyone who started in 2011 or later who made Pro Bowl as ne not playing anymore? Any non Pro Bowler deserve it?

WTF? lol

Approximately zero of those guys are even in the ball park of HOF.

Romo is the only one where you can even say "Well, maybe if he won a SB". Other than that -- Palmer had two separate stints of "good" play with CIN and Arizona. Never great.

The others had like one good year a piece and then stunk. Garrard was just average. Vick was mostly just average, with one really good season mixed in.

Yeah, Romo gets a raw deal even if I think he ultimately is a HOF-level QB, but the HOF is a compiler's gig for the most part.

Romo would be the only option that might sniff it, but won't get in. He has a better shot at making it into the Sports Broadcasting HOF than the NFL HOF.

I don't think Romo is close to HOF consideration. I think he is just the best on that list....therefor the closest to being a HOFer.

I mean none of these guys should sniff the hall, but there are plenty of guys already in the hall that probably shouldn't have either. Romo being a broadcaster definitely ups his chances long term.

I think VY is a shoe in for the College Football Hall of Fame.

Who's gonna read his HOF induction speech for him?
