But dude... he was a co-coorinator! (Says the LSU fan whose idiot AD hired a Dline coach.)
At least the guy LSU promoted is a respected old timer, who already had shown he could take over a train wreck of a situation with talented players and be successful. LSU was in a place where they could take a chance on a home town guy and pay him less than going and finding a big name they'd have to pay, and probanly worst case they just end up where they were when they hired him, which wasn't bad. Oregon is in a place where they can easily slip back to the nothing from which they came, all we hear out of eugene is how serious uncle phil is about buying a coach to bring in a championship before he's gone, and thry go with the guy on staff who's known as a good recruiter to salvage some of their recruits.

Sorry, but this feels a lot like a younger version of Mike Riley. Nice guy that the players love, but not much of a coach.

Cool!!! SKOOOOOOOOO mediocrity!!!!!!!!
Riley was 7-5 vs OSU

Riley had a few decent seasons with Oregon State, and a whole lot of not so much. Really liked the guy a lot, but that's about it.

If Cristobal can average 8 wins a season, he'll replace Richt at Miami.
(That's where he'll be in 5 years)

That's only believable if you think Richt is going to fail.

Oregon will always have the legacy of shitloads of unis.

Nothing Florida State, the Eagles or whoever poaches in the future can do to take that away.

Don't worry about it.

You don't have any anyways.
Yeah but Oregon has at least been close multiple times
and the school in general has 16x as many National championships as WMU

Oregon went full blown Les Miles and put it to a team vote.
