The only coaching he will be doing is from the studio during pre and post game.

Lions schedule is very favorable to get the 2nd wildcard.

the playoffs at this point should be an obvious, them not making the playoffs ALONE is grounds for Swartz to be canned.

we need a playoff win, not a playoff birth in the NFC North where the bears, packers and vikings all have serious injury problems and the vikings cant find a QB

His name keeps coming up but let me tell you...

He's going to want complete control, and I do mean COMPLETE control. He's going to want his own GM in the FO, his own coaching staff, etc.

And you can say goodbye to Megatron if he comes to Detroit. He's not going to tie up that much money in one man.

Are you ready for that?

Has he even said he wants back in? These guys who get a taste of the studio rarely want back in the game.

Megatron already signed to be a Detroit Lions for life...

Dungee, Gruden, and Cowher all won super bowls, and seem quite content with their current positions. Has a SB-winning coach ever gone to the booth then returned to the field? Can't think of one. Did Parcells ever work for the networks?

Wrong. He already answered that. You don't know what you're talking about.

You must not watch Monday Night Football. Gruden has said a dozen times he'll leave when they fire him. And Tirico is the best in the business at what he does.

Hopefully the Rooneys can convince him to come back by making him GM/HC after firing Colbert and Tomlin at season's end

IMO Cowher is not going to coach in the NFL again...kind along the lines of what Midnightangel said...he wants to be the MAN.

The reason he's not coaching now is teams do not want to give all player personnel power to the HC anymore. It didn't work in any of the places teams tried, so that shipped sailed, and Bill can afford to not coach.
