As much as I'd love a buckeye wearing the Browns uni, I don't think RB is on their radar with the 2 they currently have. To me, this screams lineman.
Goddamnit, they'd better not. Unless they're swinging Joe Thomas for a 1st and a 3rd (rumor has it Seattle may be a landing spot), they would be wasting a top 10 pick on a RT. Jackson likes to run the football a lot, and RG3 needs protection. Zeke checks both of those. Crowell is a plodder and nothing more, he won't cut it.

Gut feeling, but I think they're ok with Crowell and they really like Johnson. RB might be one of the few positions on the field they're actually pretty ok in. Immediate needs are on the OL, DL, QB (likely out of the question at #8), WR, LB...and probably secondary too. So yeah, every spot on the field basically.

To me, this looks like OL or DL move.

take the Eagles trade if its true. eagles 1st rd and 2 3rds and next years 2nd.

I see that something like this just took place. 5 total picks, including first rounders in 2016 and 2017

Marvez...unless I read the tweet wrong, I thought it was 1st & 3rd in '16 & 17...which I would take...you have an extra pick in there so I like your deal even better.

If this is true...and I get to play GM for the Browns...I take the deal.

Now...I have 8, 32, 65, 77, 79 for the '16 draft.

My top 5 board for 8

Lynch, Buckner, Jack, Ashawn Robinson, Lawson

Actual trade completed is Eagles 2016 #8, #77, #100, 2017 1st, 2018 2nd for Browns 2016 #2, 2017 4th.

Honestly, I'd put RB ahead of QB in terms of need. Crowell is very, very bad. Outside of his one good game last year against a putrid 49ers defense, he averaged 3.4 ypc, and that was with Thomas, Mack, and Schwartz. Zeke is genuinely a once a decade prospect, and Hue loves running the ball. I like Duke Johnson, but he's nowhere near the kind of back you can lean on.

If they trade Thomas, then I get it, and I would be fine with them maybe drafting Decker or Conklin. However, this team just has too many needs and more important positions than RT. Outside of maybe Deforest Buckner, what DL would you think is worth the 8 spot?

It all depends on who falls. Buckner would be a good haul. I wouldn't be opposed to Zeke at all, just don't think that's the direction they're going.

Other possible picks falling to them: Myles Jack, Joey Bosa, and Ronnie Stanley

OR, they could trade down AGAIN and get more picks. It's not out of the realm of possiblity.

Ugh, Jack scares me. There's no way I'd take a guy with those knee issues, regardless of talent. Bosa won't be there, Stanley is decent but not top 10 worthy IMO. Buckner would make the most sense with their defense.

You're probably right, Zeke is a pipe dream, but damn he would be as important if not more important than any DE we could take at that spot. He would completely change the face of the offense and actually give us a real talented chip to build around.

Well, look at the teams ahead of them and who they are likely to pick:

SD likely takes Tunsil. Dallas likely takes Ramsey.

Bosa, Buckner, Stanley, and Jack are remaining along with Elliott. 2 of those 5 will fall to the Browns.

To be honest Browns should take a QB and make the right pick this time. they been trying to find a starting QB for like 10 years now.

I have no doubt Stanley and Zeke will be there. Bosa, I would be shocked. Same with Buckner. I hate to say it, but I don't think I'd want Bosa on the Browns with their 3-4. He needs to be in a 4-3 to maximize his potential.

This is great. Just look at how many more picks the Browns have to completely fuck up

Just saw the trade. Eagles gave up alot. Good news for my 49ers. We will not be taking a QB in the 1st rd now. One of the top prospects will fall to us.

Very strange. The Eagles have a fortune tied up in 2 QB's as it is and I doubt anyone is taking Bradford's salary since the guy just can' stay healthy.
