You must not follow football very closely. The Giants could've drafted a QB 2nd overall and passed, so they're all in on Eli and have no interest in Foles barring injury. The Ravens drafted a QB in the first round and still have Flacco under contract, so no interest there. Ben says he'll play out his contract which runs through 2019 and was interested in an extension for another 2 or 3 years plus they drafted a QB in the 3rd round, strike 3. You're out!!!

To sit there With an absolute, definitive answer to what is going to happen is asinine. Foles is 29. That is a baby for qb’s.

He won the Eagles 1st and only SB. A QB controversy is a real possibility.

I have expressed the same sentiment on here before, and Eagles fans were adamant that it wouldn't matter how well Foles played, and that Wentz would return when ready regardless. I tend to think that they're probably correct. Under no circumstances will Foles circumvent Wentz as "the guy" unless Wentz either gets hurt again or comes in and plays much worse than Foles was. My thinking is that if Foles starts at the beginning of the season, he will simply play until Wentz is ready - but if Foles is playing well, they'll wait until Wentz is for sure 100% ready to go rather than rush him back even slightly.

There will be no QB controversy unless Foles starts out playing very well, and Wentz comes in and plays noticeably worse than Foles was for 3+ games. Then, there might be a discussion to be had. But until then, Wentz is firmly the future, and the guy they want starting this season.
