He'd play well with Parker.... but is Duncan retiring this decade?

Gosh, I hope so:lol:.

Until he does, the Spurs will stay the favorites.

Pop has done right by his Stars.

He doesn't run them into the ground by playing heavy minutes, during meaningless games.

I think if Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmy wins it this year, he will go out like Elway.

But, even if he plays on, he and Dirk are a bargain at 10 mil:nod:.

It's going to be really hard for the spurs to repeat again.

Well, they never have before.

But, they have been awesome now that guys are relatively healthy.

Until they are actually bounced, I still see them as the favorites.

Hasn't the talk of town usually been that a top 3 seed in either conference usually wins it all? lol

Not in a year where Teams have been decimated by injuries.

The Thunder have been awful.

But, I wouldn't want them to be sitting at #8 if my Team finished at he top of the Conference.

As for the Spurs, didn't they recently smash all the Cali Teams, sans the Kings, while missing a few key players?

Yeah, now they they are getting healthy, I still like them in the West.

Teams like the Spurs and Cavs are starting to look much better than their record.

Plus, this is pretty much what the Spurs do every year. Pop rests his starters, they lose some games that they shouldn't and folks start writing them off.

Then, they start cranking it up after the All-Star break and end up right back in the thick of things. Even when they don't win the title or come out of the West, they usually have a say in who does.

If they stay healthy they'll be a 2 or 3 seed. They're 2.5 behind Portland for 3rd & 4 behind Memphis for 2nd....definitely can be done. They finished last year 28-7 in their final 35 games. If they do the same thing this year thaf puts them at 58-24 and likely the 2 seed

LeBron wasn't on last nights team either....:noidea:

What does that have to do with it?

I thought we were comparing teams' Lebron was on. It is harder to take over a game when you aren't used to it. Not saying one performance was better than the other, but when you are accustomed to taking over like Wade had to do on those teams you have more of a chance at having a big game.

I tend to agree. There are no elite teams in the nba this year IMO

Manu Ginobili (more in his prime than now), Tony Parker and Derrick Rose (when healthy) all say Hi.

Point is, Kyrie's skill set is not all that unique in the NBA. Hell, Jeremy Lin can beat guys off the dribble, get to the rim and hit jump shots as well. The only thing that separates these guys his how consistent they are about it. Kyrie is becoming more consistent, but he hasn't been consistent enough to be saying he's elite or that his skill set is any more unique than anyone else who plays his style or his position.

Lets analyze that consistency you mentioned compared to many of his peers shooting wise

Kyrie Irving- Pts. FG% 3pt% FT
14/15 22.1 46.7 41.3 85.2
13/14 20.8 43.0 35.8 86.1
12/13 22.5 45.2 39.1 85.5
11/12 18.5 46.9 39.9 87.2

Derrick Rose
14/15 18.6 41.6 31.3 80.8
11/12 21.8 43.5 31.2 81.2
10/11 25.0 44.5 33.2 85.8
9/10 20.8 48.9 26.7 76.6

Tony Parker (3's are irrelevant- only 1.0 a game)
14/15 14.5 48.3 53.5 79.8
13/14 16.7 49.9 37.3 81.1
12/13 20.3 52.2 35.3 84.5

Kyle Lowery
14/15 19.4 42.8 33.7 80.9
13/14 17.9 42.3 38.0 81.3
12/13 11.6 40.1 36.2 79.5
11/12 14.3 40.9 37.4 86.4

THE RW
14/15 25.2 42.5 25.7 80.9
13/14 21.8 43.7 31.8 82.6
12/13 23.2 43.8 32.3 80.0
11/12 23.6 45.7 31.6 82.3

Damian Lillard
14/15 21.8 43.4 36.7 86.3
13/14 20.7 42.4 39.4 87.1
12/13 19.0 42.9 36.8 84.4

John Wall
14/15 17.2 46.2 30.2 76.3
13/14 19.3 43.3 35.1 80.5
12/13 18.5 44.1 26.7 80.4
11/12 16.3 42.3 .07 78.9

Steph Curry
14/15 22.8 49.1 39.1 92.1
13/14 24.0 47.1 42.4 88.5
12/13 22.9 45.1 45.3 90.0
11/12 14.7 49.0 45.5 80.9

Jeff Teague
14/15 17.0 47.0 33.1 86.6
13/14 16.5 43.8 32.9 84.6
12/13 14.6 45.1 35.9 88.1
11/12 12.6 47.6 34.2 75.7

It sure looks like Kyrie- since he has came into the league- is among the most consistent shooters out there at the PG position.......AND Steph Curry is ridiculous...absolutely ridiculous---

Well, Kyrie could NEVER have that type of game if James is playing.

Last night, Kyrie had the ball in his hands practically the entire game.
He could think through the possessions.

If James is on the court, then Kyrie usually becomes a quick catch and shoot type player.

Also, Millsap had 28 points on 9 shot attempts ... That is pretty impressive.
