remember when Wade could almost do what Kyrie did tonight?

Could almost?

April 12th, 2009

Dwyane Wade- 55, 9, & 4 on 63 percent shooting

His performance was better than Kyrie. Check your facts before you run your mouth

And can someone tell LeBron to shut up? One of the greatest performances ever? Seriously dude? You looked like an idiot making such a statement

He's a fucking drama QUEEN.
Who can forget this opening night gem?:

Wiggy also said that Chalmers was not a FA this off season.
No biggie in being wrong, but some things are easy to check before you post.

Who played well on Cleveland outside of kyrie & mozgov? And pretty sure I had another post after that pointing out that kyrie had a career game. I also made a post after the 1st quarter that he & love were doing what they're supposed to do without LeBron as they had 22 total points after 1 but love didn't score for the rest of the night. Way to be a dick and act like that was my only post after the game.

If you need 55 from kyrie anytime LeBron is out don't plan on winning many games without LeBron

Fair enough, I didn't mean to imply it was your only post after the game.

You can say that about any 50+ point performance in a close game... but sometimes a player gets a lot of points because the team is riding the hot hand... and I think there was a lot of that... especially in the 2nd half.

I don't recall anyone ever saying that Kyrie wasn't a good scorer.
Matter of fact, I along with now several others have said he's a better SG than PG.

Also, nobody said he didn't have an amazing game. He did. But like we pointed it out, it was a fluke.
IF he has a 'great' game and scores 30-35, they lose by 15-20.

The Cavs are 100% top heavy in their roster, and like we all (other than Cavs fans) have said from day 1, they only go as far as James can lead them.
Kyrie is a nice 2nd option, but his game is not AT ALL unique in the NBA.

That's not fair, IMO. Simple math addition doesn't work in this case. You can't just take away points from a player and say "if he doesn't score those points, no one else will".

And I very much disagree with Kryie's game not being unique. Watching him over the past couple weeks I believe in his game more than ever. The dude has the perfect combination of elite shooting and elite dirbble penetration / rim finisher. Its the perfect double threat. Afraid I'm going to blow by you? Good, you'll be back on your heels and pull up and hit the J. Afraid I'm going to hit the shot? Good, you'll close out on me and I'll blow by you.

Usually you see someone who is elite at penetrating but not an elite shooter (Rondo, Tony parker, John Wall), or someone who is an elite shooter but not elite at penetrating (Too many examples)

His tweet was ambiguous but it sounded to me like he was saying one of the greatest performances he's ever seen live. Which might not be that much of a stretch.

Anyway, I like him vocally praising his teammate in this situation.

did you have all this hatred for LeBron while he was playing for your Heat or did your hatred start the moment he left & went back home?

1. Always defended his right to F.A., The Decision, etc..

2. Always said he was the best player in the league..and still do...

3. Always said he was very charitable

4. Always rooted against him as a Cav, but obviously rooted for him while on the Heat.

5. ALWAYS thought he was pretty much a douche IMO about the way he handles almost everything else.

that is the thing about Irving that separates him from a lot of his peers.

He has that double threat capability and has such a great handle and ability to finish at the rim. 6' 8" Batum was on him for that 3 last night. You have to give Kyrie space because if you dont he will blow right by you- but if you give him space - he can light you up from outside as he is an elite shooter. Mark JAckson the other day said this kid might be the best finisher at the rim in the league- and on the other side he won the 3 pt contest at 21 years old.

it makes him nearly impossible to guard and its why guys like Wall and Rose just dont have the scoring ability Kyrie does.

Twins is a Timberpups fan and has been watching Love for years.

I don't want to speak for him, since he's here, but he has been very clear about his lack of leadership skills and him not being a true #1.

I don't know if he never was THAT good. But, he is struggling with being a #3.

Guys say " it's all about winning".

Maybe that's not true in contract years cause his body language is awful.

One thing I will say in Love's defense is this. What I see from him, reminds me of Pau Gasol in Mike D'Antoni's offense. He looked confused and frustrated because his skills were being diminished and he struggled to find his role. Now he's in Chicago and he's looking like the Pau that helped the Lakers get 2 championships.

Imo, part of what made Love so good in Minny, aside from being the #1 option, was that he got his points from multiple spots on the floor and he got enough shots to find a rhythm. In Cleveland, he's pretty much relegated to being a 3 point specialist.

Maybe Love figures out a role for himself like Bosh was able to in Miami or maybe he moves to a different team and looks like himself again like Pau in Chicago?

The Cavs next 3 games are against the Kings, Sixers and Twolves. It would be nice if LeBron could get some more rest- they should not have problems against the latter 2 without LeBron- but it does not look like LeBron will play tomorrow night against the Kings- and that is not a gimme game - allthough i think its one they should win with their current team and it being at home.

If the Cavs can make sure LeBron is well rested for the playoffs instead of beating him to death in the regular season like the Heat did because Bron had to carry the team with Wade sitting out a third of the season for maintenance, it would be a very nice advantage.

I really think that one of the main reasons why LeBron came to Cleveland was because he would not have to carry the load quite as much with younger guys that dont sit out a ton of games...

Windhorst has commented on this a few times- and it seemed like LeBron really did get irked at all the time Wade got to relax during the regular season and take off so many games.

It must have been tough for you to pretend to root for LeBron those 4 years he took your Heat to the Finals. Because let's be honest...w/o him not only do the Heat not have 2 more title banners hanging in the rafters they wouldn't have even made it to a single Finals appearance those 4 years. Is it safe to say you think LeBron is an asshole but of course wasn't an asshole from the moment he joined the Heat until the moment he left?

So no other players in the NBA have this skill set? Seriously?!? :noidea:

I think thats a very good point. I have not really seen him get in a good rhythm very often at all. at 17 and 10 its not like Love has been a flop- those nmbers actually are favorable to Bosh's in the Miami big 3. If Love was at 18 and 11 i would be pretty happy wh that and hes not far of of it.---

--but like you said Trojan- its the lack of him looking comfortable and getting in a rhythm that is the most worrisome
