At any rate, with the way the season has gone for EVERY team except Philly so far, it's a wide open year. So if we can win our 2nd with the core group intact before we have to do a 2 year re-tool, then might as well swing for the fences.

Just hope the new guy stays healthy!

Yes and let’s hope the lay off doesn’t hinder him any going to have to get in game shape and learn the system.

I'm like 80% sure Brown is going to tear his ACL early on next week.

Looking what PFF says very good pass blocker, not a great run blocker....if I understood the grade correctly.

Okay, that's war. I'm starting a crowdfunding campaign to assassinate Saget.

Ironically he's going to be in Calgary (just down the road from me!) on Nov 9.

And here I was about to make a comment about improvements in the run game. Keep airing it out then. lol
In all seriousness, we still need the run game for play action

Yesterday's game suggests otherwise, but I'd still like to see a better run game anyway.

Shit, I had tickets to see him this summer but the event was cancelled after he was caught backstage performing cunnilingus on the Comedy Club owner's grandma.

Heh.

No he's not Walter Jones.

But c'mon, it's pretty incredible that we can get ANY serviceable T's at this point in the season.

If I'm a fly on the wall, I wonder how much his stance on Bob McNair's comments play into this. Apparently Brown was... less than thrilled with the inmate statement.

I hope Graham isn't part of it, I feel like Russ and him are finally connecting a bit... Nice move though as long as it didn't cost us too much...

Could of been the final straw, but holding out all year when your under contract was obvious the big problem. Let’s hope that gets ironed out.

Well good... I'd rather the guy getting paid $20M doesn't get killed.

Regardless, Duane Brown is MILES better in ALL aspects than Rees Odhiambo. How that guy is even in the NFL is beyond me. He made Clowney look like Lawrence Taylor, it was embarrassing as fuck all. That can't continue.

He doesn't have to be a great run blocker. He just has to be a better run blocker than Odhiambo.

Guess the Hawks finally got tired of seeing the door WIDE open on the backside. This is a nice piece to help the Oline that is for sure but they still have issues on the rightside. I love the move and now maybe Pocic, Rees, and Ifedi can fight it out for the rightside ( and maybe make each other play better? LOL )

If you're looking at the same info I've seen, he gave up 1 sack last year in over 400 pass block snaps. 28 total pressures.

It's a massive upgrade. I'm unsure the numbers on Rees Odhiambo (half the reason I'm happy about this trade is now I don't have to google search his name every time so I spell it right), but I wouldn't be surprised if Odhiambo has given up 28 total pressures in his previous two games.

Brown is a great pass blocker, average run blocker. Odhiambo is a terrible pass blocker and a terrible run blocker.

Duane Brown has been incredibly consistent over the course of his career. Great move. At worst, he's better than Okung was at his peak with us.
