Well, at least we won. Obviously, I am very underwhelmed by these Falcons after today. The offense, for the most part, drove fine...until they got into the red zone, in which case they sputtered. This reminds me of Shanahan's first year as the coordinator in 2015.

Defense looks okay. Wish they would have made more plays, but they finished the Bears off when it mattered most, and I can't complain about that.

We need to play better. We're much better than this, and we need to play like that team pronto, because the Packers are coming to town next week, and they're probably not too keen on losing a third game in a row against us.

WOW Skins got screwed there.......HOW do you rule that a fumble and TD??? His arm is CLEARLY going forward as he threw the ball into the defenders hand.......that's not even CLOSE to a fumble

I think the Redskins just got screwed....Cousins arm looked like it was going forward on the fumble return TD.

Argument being that he already had lost control over the ball earlier, merely pushing the ball forward.

Seems to be a reversal of the previous way they looked at things, where besically if a fingertip touched the ball when the arme was moving forward it was an incomplete, even when it was blatantly clear the QB had no control at all...

Seems - at least in the spirit of the rule - that the refs this season also consider control over the ball while moving the arm forward a factor. The decision is to the point where the ball was coming out (just as with a regular fumble) rather than if the QB was still toucing the ball with a finger-tip.
