Forecast says 45 degrees with 11 mph wind and very good chance of rain

Personally I wish it was freezing cold like it was a couple weeks ago, but I'll settle for swirling wind and rain.

I expect Brees will try to run the ball more this time around but that'll play right into our defense which has been incredibly stout against the run ever since we let stacy and james run loose on us. My hope is that we'll get out to an early lead and force Brees to have to throw it. LOB will get 2 picks in this game. Maybe Avril can force another fumble with the wet conditions.

Russell also needs to take good care of the ball. He hasn't lost a lot of fumbles but he has something like 16 fumbles in his first two seasons. That's quite a high number for a quarterback.

Lots can change within next couple of days but weather channel now says potential for heavy rain fall and with 21 mph wind. It'll be blustery.

This may just work in our favor if we can get the running game up and running early.

Brees will probably try to throw the ball in any conditions and this is where he'll make a few mistakes.

Heavy rain and 21 mph wind!?

I love it! Bring on the rain...it has caused a couple accidents on 99 on my way to work a couple mornings but I'll suffer through sitting in traffic if the weather conditions can help the Seahawks win lol

You know, coming from Chicago, where it's been hovering around -30 the last few days....I can't wait for some rainy Seattle weather.

I may be able to break out the shorts!!

If the winds are 21mph, you can cancel field goals out. Wow, this is going to be a wild game!

Model shows potential for 30-35 mph gusts during game. With highest wind gusts peaking 40-45mph Sat AM.

It's going to be a crazy crazy game for sure.

If the weather is that bad, it will be an advantage for the team with the better run O and better run D.
We are better on both fronts.

wow, this is from National Weather Service.

Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 4pm. High near 50. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 20 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

New Orleans is gonna hate coming to Seattle from now on for sure. This is their last 3 trips to Seattle.

1) Few years ago they were the defending champs and suffered the BeastQuake to 7-9 team.

2) Got obliterated earlier in the season in the cold weather then got plane problem after the game and had to stay in Seattle an extra night. Insult to injury!

3) If the current forecast hold up, it's going to be a nasty game, that right now seem to work in favor of the Hawks.

This could change by Saturday, of course, but the last forecast I read said that the bulk of the heavy rain will probably be done by game time, but that's when the wind is expected to pick up. We'll see what happens. The weather blog on KOMO mentioned the Hanukkah Eve storm and the lightning storm from earlier this year (coincidentally, both games were against the Niners) in talking about nasty weather for Seahawks games, although this storm isn't expected to be nearly as bad as that Hanukkah Eve storm. I actually went to that game and it was bad. I was getting blown around just getting to the stadium and by the time I got into the stadium, I was drenched and stayed that way for most of the game.

One good thing may be that some "fair weather" fans may sell their tickets and the CLink will be filled with stark raving mad screaming lunatics.

Weather forecast here is usually very accurate if it's 48 hours out.
