We just clinched the NFCW today.

This last weekend was a huge swing. The only difference record-wise is we barely beat Carolina and the 49ers barely lost (won't count us holding serve at home). Kind of crazy that 2 of the top 3 teams in the conference are in the same division. But that's the way it works sometimes. Sucks to be the team in 2nd place under those circumstances.

You guys all know me as a 49er fan -- and I say this without any sarcasm or irony. The OP is correct IMO. Seriously. If we had beat Carolina I would have thought otherwise. But you would have to lose to New Orleans and SF and we would have to win out. Then it comes down to strength of schedule of victories. I could see you losing to NO and SF, but I don't see us winning out.

I try to warn everyone....DO NOT POST ON THE 49er BOARD Nobody listens, everyone feels that they can post there and not get banned/restricted, those guys are sensitive, best not to go there at all. Use the NFL general board if you want to talk to fans of other teams. Team boards are no place to interact with others, those boards are for fans from their teams, nobody wants outsiders polluting team boards.

I can confirm.

Don't post on the 49ers boards. Back when we beat them at home I went over there and talked a bunch of shit and got banned really quickly. I sent an email and got my week ban exchanged for a perm ban from the 49ers boards, but you might not be that lucky.

Just think of another team's board as a bar designated for other team's fans. If you were a UW Husky fan, you wouldn't go into a known WSU or UO bar and start talking smack, would you? Hell... in some bars, you'd be shown the door just for wearing colors other than that team's colors, even if all you're there to do is congratulate them on their team's success. Some things just aren't worth the consequences, even if you come with the best of intentions. Getting banned from a message board might not be as harsh as getting your face rearranged, but you'd still be better off avoiding it if you can.
