And to say Jules was a better playoff WR…. Not so fast.

Jules had 19 playoff games
Julio had 10 playoff games
Julio failed to help his team get to the playoffs.
Jules 6.2 catches per game.
Julio 7.4 catches per game.
Advantage Julio
On how many targets? What's the catch percentage?
Jules averaged 75 yards per game.
Julio averaged 97 yards per game.
Advantage Julio
Again, how many targets? Julio always was more of a deep threat. Not meaningless, but close. Jules was always more of the short yardage across the middle player. YAC ?
Jules averaged .3 TD’s per game.
Julio averaged .7 TD’s per game.
Advantage Julio
So 5'10" Jules wasn't the go to Redzone receiver...Hmm...whodathunk...
Jules played in 9 more playoff games yet only has 1 more TD.

Julio was better in the regular season and Julio was better in the playoffs. Not his fault he played for the Falcons and not the Patriots.
But as a #6 overall pick is that not the expectation that he will get the team to the playoffs more often?

He’s one man…. Oh yes the Mighty Jules could have put the Lions in the playoffs every year.. Homerism can only go so far. Nice try though buddy. I’m sure in your eyes the Patriots Hall of Fame has better odds layers than the NFL Hall of Fame.

Julio is a better player/wr. Accept it.

Lmao! I’m glad you asked me about how man targets and their catch percentage.

Jules had180 targets for 118 catches

Julio had 99 targets for 74 catches.

Holy shit!! Any other stats you’d like to know that makes Jules look bad?

If he had to play RB instead of Barry Sanders...??? Maybe, but no guarantee.

Uhm...no.
Julio is a better player/wr. Accept it.
No, better WR because he spent his entire career playing WR instead of just his NFL career. Jules is the better player.

You didn't do percentages...let me try math on a Monday.

Julio had 99 targets for 74 catches.
74.7%

HOLY SHIT!!!! THOSE PERCENTAGES ARE FUCKING TERRIBLE!!! JULES IS SUCH A SHITTY PLAYER!!!

No seriously. How many times did Julio rush? Julian? Attempts, Yards, 1st downs? TD's?

Pass attempts?

I stand by my statement. 6'3" Julio Jones, who played WR in HS and college was better built and better equipped to play WR than 5'10 converted QB than Julian Edelman. But Julian was the better player. Because he put more into it.

Julio was the only game in Atlanta. Of course he got better stats.

Jules had 36 receiving TD’s. 42 total that’s with passing.. rushing and returns.

Julio had 62 receiving TD’s. 64 total. That is so much more it is t funny.

Add in Jules has 14 more turnovers. That’s a positive of 36 for Julio.

I seriously think you don’t remember Jules for what he is. You has this fantasy in your head that he was Rice.. Sanders and Marino all in one. He was a very good player. Not the God you have him pegged for.

I’m done with this. I’ve brought facts and stats to support my aro. You only provide misguided memories of Jules.

I’m out.

Julio was the only game in Atlanta. Of course he got better stats.

Which means he was getting game planned for and being double covered every play and was still kicking ass. Thank you for making my statement about Julio even better.

You have a very exaggerated view of my opinion of Jules.

1) I was only entertaining myself and killing time until the Pats did something good again. I really didn't think it would be yesterday.

2) Obviously Julio is twice the receiver that Jules is. But he should be. He's a half foot taller, a quarter second quicker and practiced in the art for an additional...8 years?

3) I was actually defending Bill by saying a bunch of guys that can separate and catch are better than 1 high dollar Diva backed by a few jabronies.

Julio in his prime was better than Julian. Stats prove nothing however.

You are correct! Not sure why they even keep stats. They prove nothing.
Yep yep yep.. Let’s just throw all of Brady’s stats out the window.. They in knowway show/prove that he was a better QB than Tim Tebow.

I’m sure Jules was/is the only player in NFL history to give it 100% effort in practice and games. Everyone just skated by on natural talent. SMH

Nah, Danny Amendola did too.

And if Welker did he would have had a few rings too.
