The best white guy wearing #87 was Jordy Nelson

Oh "they" did? I take it you watch CNN?
:noidea: Why would I watch CNN for sports?

Is this the part you tell me who will play QB for the Patriots after looking it up?

Is it a WR?

I don't necessarily dislike either of the Kelce brothers but I am beginning to dislike their parents for raising such a pair of obnoxious pricks.

Gronk was the best before he went big time. Loved that guy. Now he is just a total douche. Can't even watch him for 2 seconds

Sort of concur. Too noisy and goofy now.

I cringed when I saw him on the NFL broadcasts.

But Kelce is the guy now. Emphasis on now.

Other than TD's scored, Gronk and Kelce are pretty damned close in everything else statistically - and that is with Travis having 2 less seasons, or 19 less games if you choose to go that route.

Gronk: 115 game - 521 rec - 7,861 yd - 79 TD - 15.1 ave
Kelce : 96 game - 507 rec - 6,465 yd - 37 TD - 12.8 ave

It's not out of the realm to think with the same amount of seasons/games played, Kelce would pass gronk in receptions and yards. The TD's set Gronk apart, no doubt. When you break it down per game, it's even closer:

Gronk: 4.5 Rec - 68.4 yd - 0.7 TD
Kelce : 5.3 Rec - 67.3 yd - 0.4 TD

Also - comparing them in the playoff is interesting too:

Gronk: 16 games - 81 rec - 1,163 yd - 12 TD
Kelce : 9 games - 52 rec - 632 yd - 6 TD

On a per playoff game basis that breaks down to:

Gronk: 5.1 Rec - 72.7 yd - 0.8 TD
Kelce : 5.8 Rec - 70.2 yd - 0.7 TD

Kelce has a big penchant for antics, there's no doubt. He was like that in college here at Cincinnati (in fact, he was actually kicked off the team his freshman year, and his brother had to fight to get him back on the team). There's no rivalry between NE and KC - NE has been better for a long time, and now there's a changing of the guard that could affect any potential future rivalry. We'll see. But as far as Gronk/Travis goes - they're pretty damn similar.

I mean, he's on his way to being a HOF TE if he lasts long enough and will be one of the greatest TE's to ever play the game at his peak.

Not like it's a bum. It's rich, obnoxious even, but you just roll your eyes and move on. This isn't like that A&M QB (Mond, was it?) comparing himself to Burrow when he has done exactly nothing of importance.

He hasn't taken the hits Shannon did.

He'll always be #2. :D

Yes. Number two to Gronk. Number two to Kittle.

They've been relevant for two decades. I'll take that.

You should hope KC can stay relevant for more than two years.

Take away those two games NE played against KC during the Herm and Cassel years and it's 6-4. And two of those 6 wins were in the playoffs. 4-4. So guess what, it IS a rivalry. KC has won three of the last four regular-season games.

You misspelled Kittle.

Ok. Kelce is a very large human so the hits he takes don't register the same way they do when Tyreek Hill gets smacked, but... he gets hit plenty, he goes over the middle and everyone knows it. He has gotten mauled over the years.

Holy cherry pick Batman. I'm a football fan not a cherry farmer.

OK here we go, they played four times on Thursday NE won three of them. 3-1 not a rivalry no matter how bad you want it to be.

Oh yeah they played on a Saturday and NE won that as well. Still not a rivalry.

It's not cherry-picking. It's just the simple fact that when KC was good, they had NE's number.

Remember when Brady threw three ints in that 2005 game? That was when I was a KC fan. Also, if KC hasn't won, it was close. Besides Manning's teams, KC's been the one team NE has not had their way with any time they want.

Are you being serious? That was like the ultimate cherry pick. When my team was good...

They've met 12xs since 2000. NE is 8-4. It's not close. It's not a rivalry.

You did make me chuckle though thanks for that:thumb:
