the rag$ are all in. They will not have a 1st for 3 years in a row and will be butt up against the cap.

If they win it all it will be labeled a bold brilliant move, if they don't $ather will be the village asshole

I read, and it makes sense, the guys the Devils are shopping are certainly backup options. I think if they are traded it will be closer to the actual deadline as teams miss out on guys, panic, and need to get a quick trade in.

yeah i will say if the only move is jagr then this deadline will be a huge bust.

sure the return for jagr was really really good but honestly the guy flat out asked for a trade. i have to wonder if he didn't do that would he still be on this team right now

Meh, Zids is 38 and has an expiring deal, that's pretty much what I would've valued him at. All the other guys that have been traded have significantly more value.

3rd becomes a 2nd if Wings make the finals. Add a 5th if they make the ECF. Come on Red Wings!

your right him having the ntc limited the teams he would go to which hurt his value in the end. still seeing coburn get a 3rd and a 1st thought maybe they could have got a 2nd and a mid level prospect when the only other d man out there is pheanuef.

yes i know the pick goes to 2nd rounder if the wings make the finals

Not surprised it's a third. It can jump to a second depending on how far the wings get in the playoffs. Even the younger dmen out there that were going are only fetching seconds. Except obviously Yandle who is by far the best dman to have moved.

Looks like Havlat, Ryder, Bernier, Tootoo all survived. Not surprised, can't believe the coaching staff basically benched Ryder and Havlat for the last month. Not a great way to showcase them at all.. I wish they could have gotten rid of one of them. At least give Boucher a few games with some actual talent instead of making him rot in Albany with no one to pass him the puck.

I was hoping at least ryder & Havlat for a bucket of pucks so we could play one of the Albany kids. Ryder gotta be dying he wasn't moved

If only Ryder's game hadn't gone to shit. Ugh. Despite that if you give him enough playing time he's still got a killer shot and would get some goals.

Agreed, he got off a pretty good one last game. What a fall . mid-year last season he was our leading goal scorer and he basically stopped scoring since then

Lou said he got better offers for Zids but the NTC was what made him choose the Detroit offer.
NO more NTC please.

Lou should have been in his GM office last week instead of being useless and standing on the bench. Not like he coaches or anything, just speaks to the media. Maybe if he was working the phones a bit more, we could have dumped more players, even for 7th round pics in 2025.

Disappointing day.
