LOL @ the Badgers not even being a 4 seed while leading the BIG having won 17 of last 18 and 8 in a row. On the flip side they have Gonzaga as a one seed. As long as we get in that's all that matters. I just find it odd because every major site had us as a 3 or 4 seed

They might have, but not the people that matter

Yes, top 25 wins are more important than bad losses. The committee looks at who you played, who you beat and where you beat them(road/neutral/home). Bad losses have historically been more forgiven if you have good wins.

RPI is trash if they have Minnesota at 22. Not a single human on this planet would put them in the top 25.

Hell, they have Minnesota ranked higher than Northwestern and Maryland. BUHAAHAHAHAHAHA

It's like we have to earn respect all over again for these morons. Oh well, it just makes winning more sweet.

So you can't answer my question then? Which kind of makes my point.

If it's about "earning respect" then FSU isn't in the top 16. The Badgers clearly have a more decorated history in regards to basketball than FSU, but FSU is a #2 seed right now.

Then our conference is holding our ranking back as well. We literally have almost an identical schedule to what we had when we became the #1 seed in the 2014 season and that includes ranking. I believe the conference being down overall has more to do with this than anything.

It won't matter what I say because you will just reference your garbage RPI.

I'm genuinely curious. I referenced RPI because that's how the committee breaks down top 25 and top 50 wins. It's clear as day on the team sheets they use.

It shouldn't be hard to name a team better than minnesota if you think their such a joke?

Right now it's either Minnesota or Syracuse but that was a Cuse team that hadn't turned the page yet. If they play today, might be a different story

First Wisconsin was a #1 in 2015 and there was nothing similar about their SOS's. The B1G isn't any good, which hurts and losing to the 2 best teams Wisconsin played OOC by a wide margin also doesn't help.

That's fine if he wants to say Cuse, but then he would be going against his own argument because Cuse has lost to St. John's, Uconn and Boston College.

The committee is flawed to not punish teams with bad losses and over inflate rankings because of great wins.

I said the RPI is a joke not Minnesota.

I would have to go with Cuse who has beaten FSU and Virginia. They have more top ten quality wins so with committee logic they're the better team.

That's fine to say Cuse, just know they are a bubble team, that already has double digit losses, and may not even make the tournament, which further escalates my point. The badgers have no good wins.

Our OOC was actually tougher this season than during the 2015 season. We lost to the worst team in the BIG that year in Rutgers and a decent Maryland top 25 team. However we had a couple other top 25 wins in the conference because the top teams were better that year instead of just two teams like this year there was four at least. The collapse of Indiana after beating UNC and Kansas killed this conference this season.

They have no great wins. I would say 2-3 teams they've beaten so far have a chance to make the tournament while they still get to play 4-5 more potential tournament teams before the season ends. I agree we have no great wins but I think 2-3 of them are tournament quality wins.

That's not even remotely close to being true.

2015 OOC SOS = 11
2017 OOC SOS = 247

That's what I've been saying this whole time, and it's why Butler is the committee's #13 overall team and Wisconsin is at best #17. Butler has two wins in the committee's top 16, including their #1 overall seed.

2015 OOC SOS = 11
2017 OOC SOS = 247

The only ranked opponent we played that season was Duke while we faced 3 ranked opponents this year. Some of the in state teams dragged down the OOC SOS this season.
