Yeah, I wish we would have backed off of Najee and stayed with Akers instead of the other way around.

It's an all-star game, so you can get some weird results, but he has not looked like a #1 type guy in limited carries. Been about the 4th most impressive RB here. Lucky for him, he will get a lot better blocking at Bama

Same, I think Akers was very interested in Michigan also.
AKers has just looked better to me. I also dont like the way Najee has handled the end of his recruitment, either decommit and go to Michigan or dont, but dont lead both coaching staffs on.

Damn skippy.

Najee and other offensive skill position recruits are nice, but in reality, good skill position dudes are a dime a dozen... decent RB's and WR's are found everywhere. What really matters is getting those studs in the trenches (plus a top notch secondary and an ace QB).

The Chuck Filiaga commit is huge for the Wolverines' OL, but if Harbaugh can somehow get Jay Tufele for the DL, then that would be awesome for Michigan.

I have a slight disagreement. I don't think stars matter as much on interior OL. You can find studs at center and OG. OT is hard to find. Personally, I would like Texas to recruit 4 OTs and maybe 1 center. Bad OTs can make all-conference guards

I agree 100%. If Michigan lands him, I'm not sure I'd be happy. I kinda want Eno Benjamin more.

True, but I get a feeling he is gonna have a tough time at Bama initially,The DeRecruitment process is gonna fuck him up.

Fuck you Sarell for not including a Michigan hat! Btw I think Jaelan Phillips is the number 1 overall player. His film looks the best and he looked the same in the AA game and all week. I don't see how he doesn't overtake guys like Sarell and Harris now.

Texas fans liked him a lot more than the Texas coaches. Seems to be the case everywhere for him. He is not fast, but kid looks good on the field. Kind of an odd recruitment

Najee Harris is not fast either. He probably projects as Eddie Georgie or Derrick Henry as his ceiling. Akers' ceiling is LT. I'll take the latter.

In fact Najee could be another De'Veon Smith LOl. Everyone knows I loved him.

Plus he is an old recruit. I kind of get the feeling he is hitting his ceiling.. Just a guess, like I said all star games can be hard to get good data from

Akers looks sudden. I am always inclined to take guys who make people miss. Big backs are so reliant on blocking. They great when they get a head of steam, but make them move within a yard of the LOS and that power goes away

The thing is Akers can block, has size, has speed and can catch. He is a jack of all trades and also played QB at Clinton. He is basically LT or David Johnson.

You mean LT potential. That is a high bar

I really hope that a domino effect occurs.

Collins stays in Alabama and UofM gets Oliver.

I like Oliver more for a slot receiver. Collins, Black, and Donovan People Jones very similar guys. The only real positive is UofM has to win some Southern recruiting battles for the future.

Harris is a good back. I am glad Benjamin went ASU that should keep Samuels Blue. I thought he was a recommit because the Harris drama.

I'll take Collins over Martin. Georgia is going hard though.
