Pretty much a must win tonight against PSU. Not for anything important, but for....

nah fuck it. There's no games left that will save the season.

Win out and we'll be 16-14, 10-8 in Conference play. Get 1st round bye, then win next 2 to make the semis.

Tourney bound.

It's weird, Webster and Watson didn't force everything and it was our best offensive night of the year. Kind of crazy how that works. Hopefully this trend continues. Morrow is definitely hurting. Not near as explosive.

Also a big :L to whoever made the "Roby-o and Juliet" sign. Very "Rile Dog" ish.

That sign didn't even make sense.

Huskers are 11-14 (5-8)

Remaining Schedule

@OSU
@MSU
ILL
@MINN
MICH

While all of those games are winnable in a year like this, it is highly unlikely. Hopefully a win like last night gifts them a big boost of confidence. My guess is they go 2-3 the rest of the way with wins against Ohio State and Illinois leaving them at 13-17 (7-11).

Let's say best case scenario they win out and finish 16-14. Is it possible that they could finish with 10 conference wins in a down year for the B1G and not make the dance? I say yes.

What about SOS. How does that factor say we do win out

I'm just hard pressed to think the committee would invite basically a .500 team in a down year for the B1G with some head scratching losses like Rutgers and Home an Gardening Webb.

There's probably only 3 or 4 locks to get in right now with Wisconsin, Purdue and Maryland. Northwestern is probably in, barring an end of year collapse. Everybody else (Michigan State, Minny and Michigan) still have work to do. Thus making it hard for me to think Nebraska would sneak their way in.

Of course all of this depends on them winning out. How's that saying go? "Shit in one hand...."

If Nebraska were to win out and head into the tourney at 16-14......which isn't impossible, but is probably 100:1 odds.......we would be on the bubble.

Nebraska would be one of the first teams ever to press the issue on how many wins a team "needs to have" to get into the dance.

When you have the #1 SOS in the country and have more quality wins than 95% of the teams in your conference, you are going to get looked at. Especially a team that goes on a run to end the year.

We would lose ground though if we lost right away in the Big 10 tourney. They need to win 7 in a row starting now to be a lock. 6 would leave them right on the line.

I don't care what the past says about records in the tournament.

I do think we're going to beat both Ohio State and Michigan State on the road coming down the stretch here. Revenge factor plus the fact that neither team is worth a shit.

Hopefully Roby-o isn't too badly sprained. He was just starting to play great and then some dude who doesn't know how to get position got underneath him and turned his ankle over. Man that pisses me off.
