It's recognition, possibly a pay bump and a free vacation for the players. It is bragging rights for the fans of the players going. It is a sorry ass excuse for a football game, but so be it. I have no problem with it and to my knowledge have never been forced to watch it.

I look forward to the Pro Bowl game every year... it's kind a like the incredible All Star game in baseball, it's why we play the games!!!!

Surprisingly, the Pro Bowl typically gets better ratings than the World Series and NBA Finals. So someone out there is watching.

I haven't watched it in a while. I think the main benefit is for players who can use it in contract negotiations, and people who want a Hawaii vacation and some football takes place.

Do they still even play it in Hawaii? I have a vague memory that it was in Miami one year recently.

Yeah it's amazing but there are people out there that do watch.

The last time I think I tuned is was 2008 or 2009 and I did so just to make sure Adrian Peterson wasn't being overused and gets hurt.
