Silly thread since the Rams just "beat" us 2 weeks ago.

All I'm going to say is we would have gotten a better game had the Saints been here instead of the Rams.

Not saying they win but this game would have been far more entertaining.

Our D held the crybaby Saints and Super bowl champ Pats to a total of 36 points last 2 games. Not bad at tall
Much improved as the season went on. No doubt.

NE came out trying to exploit Donald and Suh creating holes. Taking themselves out of position while over penetrating. Old man Brady fucked it up though.

Your Rams are the most talented team in the league. Prolly up there alltime tbh. It was a stacked roster. That pissed me off all season(i prolly watched 10-12 of your games) with undisciplined play. Wade has to go or all that talent will be wasted imo. Donald can get 25 sacks, won't matter, he creates gaping holes by taking the path of least resistance to the QB.

Just my 93 cents...

The difference is that call could not have been more obvious. Everybody was expecting the call. The Rams defender was expecting the call.
Every penalty should be "obvious for an NFL ref", as that is their job. There is always a ref that is suppose to keep his eyes on the QB, to make sure that he doesn't get roughed or have his facemask grabbed.

Well, I think the plan by godell all along was to make the path for the Patriots easier. I cant believe I actually thought they wanted the Rams to win the Superbowl. I was totally fooled!

It's an impossible game to officiate. Seriously. That's one of the games big flaws. Calls being made or not is like rolling the dice.

Except this call. It was insanely bad and obvious to everyone at the moment it happened. Well, almost everyone.

Oh yes the non-call PI was obvious, but if you were watching the game, the facemask on Goff "was obvious too". The TV camera was right on Goff as he was being sacked, with the aid of someone grabbing his fackmask.

the Rams out shittied the Patriots for a better all around display of shit.
That's about it. I can't recall a playoff game where Brady didn't throw for a TD? The game was tied at 3-3 with about 7 minutes to go in the game.

I'll agree the Refs missed calls helping the Saints too, but face mask penalties are missed a lot more than PIs are, and the non call PI was over the top obvious.

That said as much as I do believe that if the call was made the Saints would have won, I'm not blaming the refs, as the Saints should have been running the ball to eat up clock or Rams time outs.
The blame finger should point at Payton if you ask me.

Whatever. You're comparing a sack to an open-field play with nothing but two players out in space and the ball in the air. I'm not a Saints fan, and I remember Bountygate. I would have been perfectly happy to see the Rams win.

It was just a horrible, horrible, why-do-I-even-bother-watching-this-sport call.

Okay fair enough the Saints didn't win the NFLCG and now it's time to move on to next season.

Unless it went to overtime and Bree's would've thrown another pick like he did in the conference game! :billb:

Moot point and really does not matter.
