In Orange Beach AL on vacation - went to Flora-Bama bar wearing my Oregon Football shirt. Had a great time with a LSU and a BAMA fan. I'm not sure how you rank the O line of a team bringing in so much new blood. I mean it's easy to say they are young so they can't be that great, but actually evaluate them when they haven't played a down?

Are you talking about UW specifically? I can't speak for Athlon but Steele spells out his whole thinking

Last year the career starts returning jumped to 124 as they had five 5th year seniors. Expectations were high, but RT Riva (Knee) was never 100%(2sts), LG Charles missed 4 and the rush #s surprisingly slipped to 189 (4.3, 28sk). This year UW loses the most OL career starts of any P12 team. gone are 3rd tm P12 LT Hatchie, C Tanigawa, RT Riva, Atoe, and Criste. Thats 149 starts departing (45 returning) but in 2nd year in Petersen system and they underperformed last year.

Normally he makes statements about highly touted recruits if he feels strong about them. also makes statements like he thinks they look stronger or weaker. he did neither.

Even if a line is talented individually they usually rank O lines with things being equal the most experienced being the better ones. They have to work as a unit so you might have all high school all americans but if they haven't played together they will struggle. USC brings back all five starters three of which are sophomores.

I've also seen teams where replacements for starters that under performed excelled and changed things for the better. It's college.

You can't really even use past results of this coaching staff as things are entirely different. They aren't building up a squad to take out one D1 and 11 mid majors anymore.

I'm not saying UW will field some crazy offense that going to slaughter the conference, but there are way too many unknowns to simply say they will be dead last.
