Sheer athleticism of those SC WRs is the primary reason why Troj beat Oregon in 2011.

:agree: Oregon got shocked by how good the USC receivers actually were. USC's defense caught them off guard early as well and created some turnovers. By the time Oregon adjusted, it was too late..............................barely.

Essentially, USC beat Oregon the only way that they could with that team. They built a big early lead and then hung on for dear life.

Wait, I thought he was LDS?

Must be ex communicated eh?

Sark was never LDS. You do not have to be in order to attend BYU, but you have to abide by their code. You kind of have to live as though you were without having to actually become one.

1st TD to Lee. No one near Matt and Lee had two steps on the CB
2nd TD . woods makes great catch and Matt has no one near him
3 rd TD , set up by 35 yard pass play to Lee , great protection for Matt. Actual TD pass to woods. Matt rolled out and great protection to allow pass play.
4th TD , set up by 30 yard pass to Lee. Good catch by Lee and Matt had no one near him.

Maybe Matt had to run around some on other plays I don't remember every play but I just re watched the highlights and no one was near Matt on those huge passing plays and that allowed him to place the ball in perfect locations. The receivers got open and made the catches but without the O line giving Matt time it wouldn't have mattered.

ok then random topic for filler. when the conference became 12 there were questions on how the divisions would be made up. One suggestion was utah and Colorado in the North instead of Cal and Stanford because on a map they are more north.
another was to split pairs up such as
Arizona, Cal, Oregon, Washington, UCLA, Utah in one divison AZSt, Stan, ORSt, USC, WSU, Colorado in the other.
How do you think these alt versions would have played out?

The one that really gets me in the past few years is the loss to USC last year, I really wanted the seniors to never lose to a California school.

Jim mentioned the huge hit in the triple overtime game, I agree it was cleaner than it looked initially. Thanks refs.

That said here is my favorite hit from a USC v. Stanford game in the last few years.

I think how they did it worked out to be ideal. Maybe it is just because it is what I am used to now.

I am very happy we got the NOCal schools.

Still cannot believe Skov went un-drafted. He plays so much faster than his 40time indicates.

Agreeed. Oregon would have had no challengers these past few seasons in the North and it would have been boring had it been Colorado and Utah in the north.

the split divisions would have been harder to say.

Personally I like the layout as is. If Stanford had been in the south then The championship game the last 4 years would have been Oregon/Stanford.....That could have been fun, but turned off national audiences.
