so Max Pacioretti changes teams anyway.

changes agents from Patt Brisson to Alan Walsh
wonder if the trade/no-trade was just a coincidence?

Actually, a good segment of Flames fans are indicating that Fox was leaning towards testing free agency. That's always the risk when you draft those NCAA guys (same thing happened to the Flames with Brandon Hickey).

If flames knew he wasnt gonna sign, this deal is a steal

I think a lot of Flames fans don't like this trade because they feel Hamilton is the best player in the transaction and the Flames are giving up 3 assets for 2. I like Dougie and his offense is elite, but his defensive play is pretty shaky. I think the biggest plus for the Flames is that Brodie will hopefully be reunited with Giordano and that pair can find the magic that they had before Gulutzan came on the scene and tore it apart. As for Lindholm, I think he's a good two-way forward who can play centre or RW and gives more versatility than Ferland.

It's a major shakeup, but something had to be done. We'll see if it works.

Interesting draft weekend. Tavares is talking to 5 teams and I think that means he's done with the Islanders. Think he ends up with the Sharks.

Great work my GMBM. Grubauer and Orpik for a 2nd and Carlson? Yes please. 8 X 8 is a lot but by that time it'll be the end of OV's career, we're in full win now mode.
Getting rid of Orpiks contract alone is a huge win.

Sounds like the JT Six are the Sharks, Stars, Bruins, Lightning, Predators and Leafs.

Let me be the first to welcome Tavares home :D
