I guess I don't know enough about Fox, but Calgary definitely wins.

Hanifin for Doug is a wash.

Lindholm is wicked solid.

Oh, Fox went to Harvard?

Cant ignore the pedigree of superstars like Jessiman and Vesey that came out of the ECAC...

I didn't hear anything along those lines, jstew. I have a feeling that Carolina asked for Fox because they see some great potential and I think Treliving was feeling the pressure to consummate this trade.

I'm a little irked about losing Fox, but the Flames have a lot of depth on the blueline and I do like the add of Lindholm.
Eh. Just a prospect. Getting a good young C and a d-man only a bit worse than the one you gave up is pretty good dealing.

answering LA's Kovalchuk add.
meanwhile Ducks are hoping for resurgence for Perry, Geztlaf, Kesler. (combined age 86)

Actually, a good segment of Flames fans are indicating that Fox was leaning towards testing free agency. That's always the risk when you draft those NCAA guys (same thing happened to the Flames with Brandon Hickey).

The Caps kept adding" higher" ended talent and it finally tipped the scales. IE a TJ Oshie
I can see Wilson trying to pile it on.
He also might think it could make a difference in helping to sign a JT
The Ducks have all those guys locked up long term. Shame....
