The false rumors about Kaepernick

I had no problem with his platform or his delivery system.

But others do. I'm sure if some player had a huge conservative platform and were throwing it in your face each week, you would feel differently.

He is better than brian hoyer, that is for sure. And better than many other starting QB's. 17 TD's and 4 INT's in 10 games and 90 qb rating with a horrible team and no WR's is a lot better than a bunch of starting NFL qb's last year. NO one looking for a backup? Cardinals just signed gabbert as a backup who he far outplayed last year

So it would seem there are other things besides his play on the field that are affecting your judgment as to whether he is starter material or not.

But when is the last time Hoyer made waves? I agree, it should be all about what you can do on the field and not what you do off the field. BUt it works both ways. He should just play the game.

But I was responding to the person who said he isn't getting hired because he isn't starter material and thats it. That is not true. That was my only point.

Let's talk about the rumors that are out there. I keep hearing that teams are not signing Kaep because he is looking for about 9 million and that he won't be a backup. Well, Kaep said that's bullshit because how does anybody know what he wants, when no team has called him or his representative at all. They haven't spoke to anyone!

So for the people who are saying he isn't being blackballed for his protest, what excuse do you have now, for no team to have no contact with him at all? Don't give me that he can't play, because he had a decent year last year and ended his last 4 games with a QBR of 100

I agree that he is probably starter material too! Or at least could compete against an unproven starter. Just my opinion, but I would think Cutler would be better than alot of people that have already signed as well. If it weren't for the distractions, someone would give Kap a chance.

Throwing it in our face? All the man did was kneel before the game, on the sidelines. He didn't grab the camera guys and told them to record him. Get mad at the tv networks for focusing on him.

For most employed people in the real world, you do something that can be a distraction and you risk losing your job if it affects the company's bottom line. Same thing in the NFL. As for players that are rapist and robbers etc. that are getting a second chance. For each of those, there are those that aren't playing (Ray Rice, Johnny Manziel) I guess Kap thinks he is a special snowflake. He has his right to protest, teams have a right to not sign him.

Ray Rice also had, being old, against him. Johnny Boy got chance after chance and is still messing up. Now, lets talk about all the players that are still playing.

Another thing, everyone has the right to protest, but not while on the clock and on the company's dime. I'm pretty sure if I protested anything while at work, I'd be out of job even if my cause is the greatest cause in the world. Show up to play football, not to protest.

And no he didn't win a bunch of games with the worst roster in the NFL but he did throw 17 TD's and only 4 INT in 10 or so games and had a QB rating of over 90. He looked to me to be recovered from his injuries. I just think that its sad that players like adrian peterson can beat a child bloody and they are forgiven, or run a dog fighting ring and be forgiven, or beat a woman up and be forgiven... bug god forbid you take a social stand in the name of equal justice for all... then you get blackballed. Again, I don't condone using your jobsite to make political stands, but when you compare his actions to others who get lucrative contract offers after they commit horrible crimes... it just doesn't make any sense to me.

Kaepernick is a one trick pony and he also should know there are consequences for his actions.

What made it worse was he opened his mouth afterward. Proving he doesn't have a clue. Then spent $1M USD not that monopoly money from up north to try and repair his rep. Dude is a clown and if lucky a permanent back up.
