Second film of the Adam Sandler deal with Netflix is worth the time to watch. As bad as the Ridiculous 6 was is as good as this one was because Sandler went back to his Niche. He took a minute to tug on the heart strings when you find what he is hiding from Joe Dirt, but still delivered more of what we want to expect from him..

All three movies feel like made-for-TV Sandler movies. The days of Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and Wedding Singer are over.

Are you sure? I am rather certain that it was the first of the Netflix movies (no source, just going from memory)

Positive. It was just such a independent type film it never really went to theaters and showed up on Netflix streaming.

I have no idea what the plots/which of his idiot pals are set to star in the other two. Just know it's only 2 deep.

Maybe that was it. The announcement was made, than a tiny flick of his shows up on Netflix that I had never heard of, so I just assumed it was the first of the batch...

Thought is was ok. I agree, has a lot more heart than you would expect and there's a twist towards the end that makes the movie itself seem far less stupid.

I just thought it was miles ahead of the ridiculous 6 and back to where Sandler is popular.

It was actually a pretty decent movie... It wasn't as funny as it should have been... Did not have the ONE scene of hilarity like the baseball scene in Rediculous 6... But overall a MUCH better movie...

Maybe it was just David Spade as the straight man, like Tommy Boy that kept it going thru the whole movie. I guess I am the one that didnt think that baseball scene was that funny in 6, but after seeing the Hateful 8, which I thought was terrible with these story telling dying outlaws that I thought they were going after, it is worth another look I guess.
