Earlier Taggert was -300 to become next FSU coach. The bet is no longer available.

supposedly he back in Oregon so unless he jumps that red eye
He was on a 'boosters jet' for those recruiting trips today. Did you really think they would let him fly that to his next job?

I know you all want these little things to mean something more, but it just doesn't.

He could have been clear and said he is staying for next year, or isn't interested in FSU, or a host of other things. And hasn't.

He could have signed the contract boost. And hasn't.

His players and staff are talking about how open and honest he's been through the process. There wouldn't be anything to be open about if it was he's staying. He doesn't know, or didn't know until now.

I still have it as a %65 - %75 chance he's gone. The details could always ruin it. Unforeseen issues or people in the background raising concerns or other things can always derail these.

He wants it, and they at least seem to really want him. It's hard to ignore those.

Yes... yes we will.. it's going to be different..#relentless

Probably. Instead of Franks throwing 4 picks, Mullen will have him at tailback in his single wing
attack and he'll fumble 4 times a game.

btw...You were correct...you've got a pretty good basketball team. We only beat them tonite
by 17 on your home court.

Don't despair...You beat us in Volleyball. (Go Gators!)

I know we shut you out 2-0 in Soccer. Beat you by 30 in Women's Basketball. 16 in Football.
17 tonight in Men's Basketball. And all of those games have been in G-ville.

It's becoming embarrassing.

It's funny that FSU fans think Taggart is better than Mullen.

We're getting our #1 choice is what we're getting.

Maybe you are getting your first public choice, but the problem is you are way down the line on picking because other schools started ahead of you.

Maybe Taggart will work out, but I'd take Cousin Eddie over him without even thinking twice. There are so many coaches who have success at a G5 school, get promoted to the next level only to fall on their asses it isn't even funny. How many of them work out? Maybe 1 in 10?

Meanwhile Mullen has a proven history coaching the one of the runts of the SEC into success and sustaining it(relatively speaking) for years. That's a hell of an accomplishment many people don't give him credit for.

If it was Alabama, I don't want to roll the dice on that G5 coach, I want that coach with experience and some notches on his belt. Maybe if it's a guy like Peterson with Boise St as an exception, where he's been doing the G5 thing at a level above the rest for many years.

Seems like a case of 1 in the hand is better than 2 in the bush to me. But then Lincoln Riley made the playoffs this year, so anything can happen.

Thanksgiving weekend has been rough for you since 2012 and you think the Miss St coach is gonna change things?

Dan Mullen went 3-0 Against Florida St when he was the OC at Florida between 2005-2008. Florida fell apart after he left.

You can also kiss the years of Florida not having a good QB goodbye.

Well it's about time. Wonder if he'll keep a stout D like they've had for years.

So in 8 seasons Taggart has one 10 win season and is 47-50 in his career.

Plenty of schools have offered Taggert a job this year, but it wasn't to a better football program. I love the hire if it actually happens. If Mullen makes Florida credible again that's fine with me, I'm tired of whooping their ass.

What you are missing here is Taggert is 41, has Florida ties, and that FSU pipeline is already there. Tallahassee is the perfect place to recruit Georgia, BAMA, and Florida -- most fertile area for high school football. He had the best recruiting class in the history of Oregon coming in 2018 and many of those guys were from Florida. So we are essentially replacing Jimbo with a younger bad ass recruiter.

It was the Jeff Bowden era. EVERYBODY had a good record against us then!

He's not taking over a 2 win South Florida or Western Kentucky program at FSU. Go read

I'll say this. You're very sweet to assume that we'll even MAKE the big dance... LOL!!! :D

We'll start conference play and Hams will once again forget how to defend the 3 and our offense will disappear like always...

It's funny watching SEC fans ride Mullen's nuts. What's really funny is that Florida wanted Chip Kelly before Mullen. That's actually hilarious

Taggert locked in the best recruiting class in Oregon's history for 2018 and most kids were from Florida.

He's considered a bright young head coach with an innovative mind on offense. We haven't had that since the first half of Bowden's career, so it's exciting to us...

I mean look at the schools he took over and look at the trajectories... (I bolded the record since the columns didn't translate too well in the copy...

Can you fault a guy for doing "pretty good" at Western Kentucky? And his USF program was top 25 when he left, so... Yeah.... Kind of excited to see what he can do for us!
