Rumor mill flying. Went from just meeting, to 'sources' saying deal is all done and waiting on announcement.

Ducks would not only lose their HC, and it looks like an assistant, but likely a big part of that recruiting class either to follow Taggart, or just reopen and look at other choices.

So do you believe that means no deal has been negotiated to this point?

I mean saying they haven't yet met face to face says there hasn't been an offer or anything more?

I think both statements could well be true. They are finalizing a deal and have not met to shake on it yet. That meeting is supposed to take place today by most accounts.

Feldman says nothing to any of these rumors, and yet people all over on both sides reporting there is some kind of meeting today in Arizona between both parties. And a few with ties to sources at FSU saying a deal is either done or eminent.

I mean the deal was supposed to be a slam dunk for at least 3 different coaches rumored to go to UT and things can change in a hurry in these situations.

Well the agents and such work these deals, so I could see the offer being in place before meeting. They are familiar with him etc.

I know when Saban came to Alabama Saban had very little to do with the process until the very end. Before then it was all talks to his agent.

Meh, its about maintaining the recruiting. As a coach, Fisher was overrated too. A&M will find that out soon enough.

People just don't get it I guess.. We lost Bobby Bowden and won a natty. Jimbo sucked ass the last 2-3 years as a coach. He recruited well because of the history of FSU and the state is loaded with HS talent.

The exciting thing if this is all true would be not only salvaging our recruiting and having
a coach that believes in getting your skill people in space...but he's bringing Leavitt along
with him.

Back in 2004/2005 somewhere in that time span, FSU Boosters had taken dead aim
on him when he was at USF to replace Bobby when he stepped down.

Then Leavitt ran into issues at USF similar to the guy at Kansas. Leavitt is a steal
in this deal. A real DC again.
