I dont really see a feasible way ( aside from injury ) that Atlanta misses the playoffs. At year end they were substantially better than any other NFC team and they got better in the off-season . A look at the schedule points at maybe 7 games Atlanta could conceivably lose . Realistically they'd have to lose all those games to miss the playoffs . Just not gonna happen .
Better I'll give you, substantially better you're being a homer.

Settle down. It's ESPN. Everybody knows the Falcons will tank this year.

hard to think that Ryan could replicate his career year

would not be surprised if they didn't make it

Well they won their playoff games by 42 points so...

Also add in injuries. Those 42 points maybe coming down a lot if GB/Sea were completely healthy. Credit ATL for taking advantage but lets not kid ourselves that ATL would dominate those two teams at full strength.

They should mean a lot if the rankings systems used are actually accurate.

I just have no idea how someone could project 2017 based on 2016 with any accuracy in a sport where QBs matter so much, injuries matter so much and the 9th, 10th and 11th best player on a defense can totally be exposed even if the other 8 are pretty darn good.
Same goes for strength of schedule before camps even start:think:

It's not a new system . Keeping the old one. Ryan will be calling the plays from the line til Sark gets it down.

So, the same system that got run over in the SB? Or will there be some changes?

Yes if Atlanta plays Tom Brady and Bill Belichick 16 times this year they'll probably only win half their games . Fortunately I don't think that's how the schedule is set up

"Since 2000, half of the Super Bowl losers failed to even make the postseason in the following campaign. Just two got back to the conference title game -- none returned to the Super Bowl."

All that is fine but it applies to every team including your own. All you can judge a team on is the talent on their roster and Atlantas is loaded. That's fact . Anything can happen but I'll take talent every time
Thanks for pointing that out. Did you see how NE improved their SB winning roster this off season? Be afraid, be very afraid.
