Both things are true, it was a shitty call and the Eagles Defense completely disappeared in the second half.

Can't blame the offense in the 2nd half, they only had three drives (not counting the hail Mary). The 2nd half was basically an inverse of the 1st half when the Chiefs couldn't keep the Eagles offense off the field.

Just a horrid 2nd half defensively, but credit to Mahomes as well.

I cannot believe that a minute after I made it the refs would decide to make a call!!!! Any call for that matter at this point of the game is fukin totally unacceptable! Esp if it’s Ticky tac call, which that was.

That was the most uneventful ending of a great game !

You are allowed to hold within 5 yards, which he did on the first grab, the second one they called him for was not a hold

To all those who are crying about how the refs ruined the game on that one call:

1. The Eagles defense NEVER stopped the Chiefs in the 2nd half
2. James Bradberry can not commit that penalty on that play, that's such a bad bad bad decision.
3. The Eagles offense looks very disconnected during that 4th quarter. Delay of game, making late subs.

tl;dr, the Eagles lost because the Eagles couldn't get the job done and made bad mistakes. Plain and simple.

The key play was the penultimate play in the 1st half. The Eagles had 1st down at the Chiefs 20-yard line with 15 seconds left and 1 time-out. There was time for at least 2 shots at the endzone before kicking a FG. Instead Hurts dumped the ball off for 6 yards, let the clock tick down to 3 or 4 seconds, and took the 3 points. Not taking those 2, (or maybe 3), shots at the endzone was the difference in the game.

Yeah. They didn’t play that right but I’m not sure I’d go that far with calling it the key play

There was not a single holding or pass interference called all game.....not even a sniff of it.

The referees let them play all game. The players respond to what the game is called.

If every single play prior was being flagged, then the players would almost certainly play less aggressive.

The referees established for 59 minutes they were allowing marginal contact for both teams over and over.

But, then they enforce the letter of the law out of the clear blue sky while completely ignoring the game precedent they had set all day.
