overload of wwe programming
Completely agree.

From Raw being three hours, Smackdown being two hours and Summerslam being four hours, the WWE is going to have 24 hours of original programming this month.

Raw might benefit from shaving an hour off, but I have no issue with SS getting a 4th hour. The roster is so deep with good wrestlers right now that they need a 4th hour to get everyone a match. I just hope Owens and Cesaro get 25 minutes instead if a 10 minute match and a 15 minute video montage for UT and Brock

if RAW was 2 hours I could see a HUGE rating jump, they actually would have the perfect amount of stars for a 2 hour show....to the point you could really build the mid card.

Well USA is the one who wants Raw to be 3 hours and since they pay WWE a shitload of money for Raw and now SD starting in January they're gonna get what they want.

I wonder how long USA Will want RAW to be three hours since their ratings have been awful.

But they're not awful though. They have gone down quite a lot compared to 5 years ago but Raw averaging about 4 million viewers every week for 52 weeks a year is a big deal to USA. Even with the ratings lower than they once were they're still one of the top if not the top show on the network so USA loves them.

that's true.

just unfortunate how poor the product is, but WWE and USA have absolutely no motivation to make it better as every party seems content with where it is right now, and there is no competition to push it to be better.

Rusev and Ziggler added for sunday. Summer rae and Lana have been getting physical.

We have a little bit of hope with GFW and TNA seemingly combining to try to compete.

Raws ratings have been falling but I still think its one of the higher rated shows on cable so I'm sure USA is still cool with it. I'm not 100% sure about the highest thing on cable part so you might want to look it up yourself. All I know is ratings in the 2.0s (roughly 2 mil people) are pretty darn good for cable. For comparison, shows on cable usually get axed when they're pulling 0.5s (roughly 500,000 people)

3 hour show plus 1 hour of Brock beating the hell out of the Undertaker.

i've been quite disappointed with the build for SummerSlam, honestly. MNF coming soon doesn't make it much better either, even though SS will be done by then.

If I remember correctly from last year, the ratings didn't drop all that much. These numbers aren't exact, I'm just using it as an example but it went from like say a 3.0 to a 2.7. Basically, the impact wasn't as large as you would think

I think you're right....however, I just feel like this year it will decline a bit. maybe from the 2.7-2.8 to 2.6...not drastic at all and probably not enough to make Vince panic...but the interest in NFL football is growing rapidly, while the interest in WWE is declining (slowly).

Latest rumors I read were two extra surprises to be expected. Maybe a Rock sighting, but most probably a Sheamus cash in. They might use Cena to get the belt away from Seth, but he will leave with the US title.

Also word is they are giving Reigns another singles push after summerslam, so the Wyatt fight might not be a year long ordeal.
