Syracuse-Georgetown renew rivalry, provide boost for college hoops - CBSSports.com
I've known about this for a while but really just don't care about it like everyone seems to be. First off....SUs not in the Big East. I am all ACC and don't care about the old BE rivals except for UM, BC, VT and UofL. And that's more a football thing.
But...SU/GTown seems to be big news to the bball community. For me. GTown hasn't been much of a threat since the HCJT retired. That's been a long ass time.
"Continuing this historically important rivalry has always been of the highest priority for us since our move to the ACC, and something I know our players, coaches, fans and the entire SU community are excited about," Syracuse AD Dr. Daryl Gross said.
"When Syracuse and Georgetown go head-to-head, the history of the rivalry is unmatched, and the entire nation pays attention. Clearly our move to the ACC has been tremendous on all fronts, but sometimes you can have the best of both worlds -- and this series fits that concept."
Amen, Dr. Gross.
Amen.
This gets an Amen out of Gary Parish. I'm not even sure this will help the weak OOC issue surrounding SU.
