Ok well see it's confusing because in your other sentence you mention playing Florida at Florida. So based on your 1 sentence being about Mercer and being a home game, and your other sentence being about playing Florida @ Florida, it sureeee did seem like you were making a thing about Alabama playing Mercer at home rather than away.

There is nothing to spin. The effect is so minimal that it doesn't even matter. I don't care if you cry about it, it's not preventing Alabama from getting in the playoffs. And it damn sure didn't make a difference on the field this past playoff for your team either.

Now that it's a 4 team playoff, it matters even less. This is just something for haters to cry about, and I think it's pretty damn funny how petty some of you are.

Maybe when the PAC12 bans the playing of FCS schools you can bitch about the SEC playing Mercer but until then, your bitching about something that teams in your conference are doing. Washington had Portland State on their schedule last year and Montana this year. It is literally no different. The SEC playing Shit U at the end of the year provides no advantage to them because the opponent the next week is playing Eastern Shit U the same week in most cases.
