I don't know what this says about me, but I was so gung-ho about Loeffler until I heard he was (potentially) hired. I like his philosophy, connections, etc. but his numbers at Temple were worse than I first appraised; 2011 temple pass offense ranked 116th in FBS and averaged just under 9 completions per game. Yes, the rush offense was good, but this guy was a quarterback coach. I'm just really apprehensive that this is a rushed process because of Logan Thomas leaving. I'd rather find the right guy than cater to Logan staying.

This kid has been pretty warm on vt (he has family in area) .. Plus word is he was very close to committing to auburn when loeffler was there and his primary recruiter. We have to be offering a 2014 QB ... Let's offer him and shore that position up before unc grabs him

I just feel like there is so much pressure on this decision because Beamer is so loyal. If this is a misfire, the team could continue to be mediocre offensively for the next 5-10 years lol

With the talent we get, it is pathetic that our offense isn't always in the top 50. No coach is guaranteed to succeed so I understand people being nervous, but at the same time, our offense can't possibly get worse. And with the supposed recruiting prowess that Grimes brings, this seems like a pretty good improvement.
