Maybe. If they beat LSU and Auburn then yes. If Bama goes undefeated, there is no rational argument for keeping them out of the top spot for sure.

What's the argument for them being out of the top spot now? Not that it matters, I'm just wondering

By the end of the year ... Ohio State will have most likely played 2 Top 15 teams. (Wisconsin and MSU)

Frankly, I'm not sure if FSU or Baylor will have played more than 2 Top 15 teams themselves by the end of the year.

If the 1 loss was a close fought game versus a good team.

But, Stanford lost to a 4-4 team.

There is no way they finish ahead of an undefeated AQ team.

I am not even sure they stay ahead of Missouri, Auburn, or Oklahoma State if those squads end up as 1 loss team.

Maybe for 1 week....Stanford MIGHT get there....but not for long.

1. FSU
2. Bama
3. Baylor
4. tOSU
5. Stanford

Although Stanford beat Oregon last night, they have no business being in the top 3 or 4 with one loss to a shitty Utah team. Not sure why losses are rewarded nowadays, but that shit needs to stop now.....

^^^this

I think FSU walks away with it this year.

Interesting to see how high those computers will put baylor and stanford. I can see stanford possibly number three come sunday night.

I kind of doubt it. I expect it to be:

1. Bama
2. FSU
3. Baylor
4. Ohio State
5. Stanford

LOL at this thread. Baylor has played literally 2 teams with a winning record. Oklahoma is a joke for the most part, and has been for a few years. It's foolish to think Wisconsin wouldn't do at least what Texas did to OU, if not worse. There's nothing that suggest Baylor deserves to be ranked ahead of Ohio State at this point. Their remaining schedule is going to have a "feature" game against either unranked Texas or Okie State who lost to a pathetic WVU team.

And to answer the OP, Florida State, and it isn't close.

I agree with you but I do not think the pollsters will. They are still convinced that Bama can't be beaten. We shall surely see about that.
