SM drafted him so I can understand why he would kick the tires. But I too hope it doesn't play out. This guy was a monster in college, I thought he would be a star. But it hasn't really worked out that way, he's just a pretty good player and that's it.

Maybe it's just an 'honorary' visit for due diligence for a player SM likes. The age seems a factor but maybe if the price were right.

The Washington Post's Mike Jones and Keim have thrown some cold water on the idea of a potential signing since the initial report by Keim this morning. It appears that Crabtree is more interested in signing with the San Diego Chargers at the moment.

WR Michael Crabtree: Yes, Crabtree. The Redskins have expressed interest in him, but a source says he’s leaning toward San Diego, so I wouldn’t anticipate anything happening here.

The two-time Biletnikoff Award winner was developing into a solid starting wideout for the 49ers until he tore his right Achilles tendon in OTAs prior to the 2013 season. The injury may have sapped Crabtree of some of his ability, as he has only gone on to post modest numbers since then.

I'm hearing Skins aren't pursuing Crabtree and I think if GM Scotty didn't have ties to Crabtree there wouldn't be a story. Crabtree to the skins doesn't make sense for us. Sadly that's the only offensive player that's been linked to us. I would like to hear some news about o-lineman we are interested in.
