I didn't see/hear it, but my cousins (Caps fans) are all up in arms about the fact that apparently Doc Emrick said something like "the familiar stunned silence as the Caps leave the ice".

They is don't happy with Doc. If he did say it, that is pretty damn cold (and funny). Doc, buddy; *inside* voice.

He definitely said it, but it's absurdly accurate. And the memories are fresher this year.

Game 1 is on Holtby, IMO. Sid's second goal is a rebound he absolutely has to control. And the winning goal was basically shot right at him and he found a way to get out of the puck's way.

He needs to be better and he will.
