PM Trudeau admits 'peoplekind' comment was 'a dumb joke'

So, I guess this is the new "I was hacked". You say something stupid, "Oh. It was a joke!"

That could have been useful in the past.

"Mr Powell, there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq"
"Duh, that was a joke."

"Mr Clinton, you said you did not have relations with that woman"
"LOL, got ya"

"Why did you want to attack Pearl Harbor and drag the US into the war?"
"You thought I was serious? YOU DID THAT?"

It's kind of stupid but I don't really see why people have an issue with the whole "peoplekind" thing. Maybe I just don't care enough.

Yeah, just means Trump saying calling Democrats treasonous was a joke is A-OK.

I think it's 3 pronged:

-A very, very good example of PC'ism run amok.
-Claiming he was joking when he definitely wasn't joking. All he did was forget the word "humankind" and made one up instead.
-Politically, another example of why he's being seen as a very one-dimensional PM (this is what gets him passionate, not policy).

If Manimal was coming on now I bet it would be called Humanimal.
My Manager...ummm I mean my Humanager told me "I need to make the project manageable". So I corrected him and said it can never be "manageable" but it is "humanageable".
He just stared at me and told me to get the f**k out.

George W. Bush on immigrants: 'We ought to say thank you and welcome them'

No, no, no... I have it good authority that the Messicans are the reason an unemployed coal miner can't get a cushy job that pays 100k+. What is this "jobs no one wants to do" BS?
For all the shit the left is kicking up right now about immigration reform not being included in the budget deal, it’s always fun to remember that George Bush supported McCain-Kennedy which included the full DREAM Act as well as a pathway to citizenship in exchange for a points-based immigration system and 15 Democrats sunk it in the Senate because they were against the points system (which literally every other first-world immigration system uses today anyway). This would’ve eliminated the need for DACA to begin with.

In unrelated news, I ripped my dress pants straight through the crotch, front to back, and halfway across the butt, less than five minutes before I had to teach a class. So that was a great start to the day.
