Week 1 was probably the best we could have hoped for in facing Wilson.

Far more likely to throw a pick or two against us in that first game than after he has time to gel in that new offense.

I mean we are still going to lose, but maybe not as badly as later in the year.

I agree that 5-6 wins is about all we should expect this year.

Beat Denver and that improves our draft pick from them as I see them a 9-8/8-9. Hawks will still be a 3 to 5 win team which hopefully can land in the top 5 of the 2023 draft.

Wilson will play in Seattle for the first time where the crowd noise isn't going to be on his side. That should be a weird feeling for him when he's on offense.

Somewhere between 7-9 wins is my prediction.

If the Seahawks win week 1 and the broncos fall short of the playoffs 1 win that would be iconic in seattle history.

The media is being kind of shitty to Drew Lock regarding our home opener vs Denver. All I keep seeing is "Russell is going to face his old team for the first time", and that is true, and fair and fine, but what about Lock? He's facing his old team for the first time too. What about some hype for him? Unless the media a.) doesn't think Lock will be our starter by September, or b.) they don't think enough people give a shit about Lock to mention it?

Imagine Drew goes something like 18 of 24 for 220 yards and 2 TD and Wilson goes 26-37 285 yards 2TD 1 Int. I would call that a Win for Lock. We don't need Lock to be a superstar we just need him to not cause turnovers.

I see them as a 10-7 team. They have a good defense, but IMO Wilson's best days are behind him. Not bitter about the trade, I've just seen Wilson start to decline over the last couple years. He's taking way too many sacks because of his own playstyle and holding onto the ball WAAAAY too long while missing targets that are WIDE open over the middle.

On a per game basis he's also taken a pretty large # of sacks (> 8%) which is insane given Seattle ran the ball so often especially early in his career. And I get not everyone can pre-read defenses like Tom Brady, but good God is Wilson horrible at pre-snap reads. For someone who works very hard and is dedicated to his craft, I'm shocked nobody has worked with him specifically on this. Course that's coaching... does Seattle even have a QB coach? lol. Apparently we do, Dave Canales... USC... well that explains a lot.

I honestly don't see Wilson every winning another super bowl. I think the Broncos will be a good team but he is not this drop back 40x a game and win shoot outs type QB. Nothing really against him because to be honest there hasnt been a QB ever to my knowledge that got paid huge money and took their team to a super bowl and won. I think most super bowl winning QBs won their championship on their rookie contract.

With that I will add I am glad he got traded to the Broncos and not the Commanders because I would take my chances him having to beat the Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders not to mention the rest of the conference in the stacked AFC. With the Commanders he would probably roll through the NFC East and having homefield in the playoffs.

It is going to be hard winning in the AFC West but RW is going to be more motivated then he has been for years and years, new team and his desire for a record breaking contract. That desire is going to morph the Broncos offense into the Russell Wilson offensive system, to the chagrined of the new Bronco coaching staff ( fresh from the Packers offensive system). They ( Broncos) will not be going to the Super Bowl just making the playoffs will be difficult but maybe possible, but I'm thinking they fall short of that myself, but won't want to put money on it because the Broncos have a decent roster. 9-7 is what I predict for the Broncos.

You are going all in on the "Russ was the problem" narrative, huh?

I chalk it up to them being in a tough division... I don't see them being better than 10-7

They were 7-10 with Bridewater and Lock as their QB. You think that Russ is, at best, only worth a 3 game improvement?
