Second of all I feel extremely odd about this one. A loss i guess in totality doesnt matter. The Niners needed it more. Hell the Packers and Saints needed it more then the Hawks did. But I find myself just incredibly despite in Pete Carroll that the delay of game happened. Just zero excuse for that bullshit.

First of all I will be clear that the Hawks did not lose because of this. They had around 7 cracks at the goal line at the end and couldnt get in, 2 of the 7 plays were stopped at the 1. However it was a clear PI, no ifs ands or butts.

It's ironic that this rule was made because of how it screwed over the Saints and low and behold it screwed them again yesterday as a Hawks loss meant no bye for them.

But man just get rid of PI reviews, the explanation is even worse then the non call. Just get rid of it so you dont look even worse trying to defend youre untrained officials.


The Hollister goal line play was one of those ones that was just gonna stand with whatever was called on the field. Great play by the LB Greenlaw tho. He made the Mike Jones play

Yeah, QB sneak was the way to go. They should've just rushed up to the line and done it right away.

I can't recall Russell Wilson running a single qb sneak for his entire career with the Seahawks. I checked on reddit and guys were saying he ran one in a game vs the Cardinals and one in a game vs the Saints. It's just not in the playbook and never has been.

Why blame Carroll for the delay of game. IMO that penalty was all Wilson's fault.

Its both for sure. But I think you should default to the head coach first as they were making substitutions. This one of the reasons they blew the Super Bowl 5 years ago at the end. They had to burn a TO when the clock was stopped after Kearses catch because they couldnt get lined up with a play in time. 5 years later its still killing them in crunch time. Unfortunate but this coach and QB have done enough and been through enough together that it shouldn't be happening
