I don't even think the cowboys have been to an NFC championship game since I started watching football, now that I think about it. But either way relevance can be a broad definition I guess, I was merely speaking in terms of on the field.

Not really. Which is why I give props to @fordman84 for making me change my stance about how our backup QB having more playoff wins than the cowboys this century isn't really that great a feat.

I'm acknowledging the cowboys were great a quarter century ago and 40+ years ago. Since then they haven't been relevant. I think every NFC team has more playoff wins this century except the Lions and Redskins. I'm trying to figure out what exactly has made them relevant during this time frame on the field?

I'm also an ND fan and them having 11 national championships doesn't really mean jack shit today. If people want to brag about winning SB's in the 70's so be it. Congrats to them. It won't really affect me.
