You love to see it.
Jrod with a 2 run double with bases juiced 1 out. Fouled off some pitches and got ahold of one that was high out of the zone.

Great at bat by the kid. Bases loaded 1 out, takes 2-0, fouls off 2 hittable pitches, takes a ball, fouls a high fastball, then punishes a fastball up above the zone for a double to right center.

Staying with his approach and this time it payed off.

Kelenic too! Kids are coming alive

3 straight hits for Suarez now. He's cut down on those wild swings and misses lately. Hopefully a sign that he's in for a .250ish season, and that would be a big win.

Jesus fucking Christ, it's every damned day!

Here's Julio's latest punishment for having plate discipline.

He looked like he beat the throw in a couple of those views. I thought he was safe.

Julio 2-4 going into a bases juiced no outs, and has the discipline to look at ball 4 that was just a fraction below the zone. Correctly called for once. And with the crowd yelling ju-li-o, he had to be pumped.

He is the most patient rookie I can recall seeing.

Walked to take the lead.

Well done kid, well done.

It’s early but as of now I will have to say I really, really underestimated what Suarez had left. He has proven to be better defensively than what he was given credit for. Also, Jerry should apologize to the Padres GM for r*pe job he did to get France.

I wouldn’t say so, but for some reason the acting coach is putting in our worst BP pieces in the highest leverage situations

There are maybe a couple dozen guys in the league ( likely less ) who would safely score on that play.
Right fielder was playing shallow and caught a 1 hopper while charging in and made a strong & accurate throw to the dish.

Julio w/ a great head 1st dive slides in just under the tag and a micro second early enough to be safe.
Watch the reply on the attempted swipe tag by the catcher. If the baserunner slides feet first that tag likely hits his upper body at the exact same time the baserunners feet may or may not make contact with homeplate ( often the leading foot rides 'above' the plate and the calf area or thigh is what touches the plate 1st. Julio may have been called out on a feet first slide.

Clutch 2 strike piece of hitting and great jump and route around 3rd and phenomenal athletic ability to beat the throw and slide safely into home for the tying run.

Teams around the league are taking notice of what the M's have put together this season. The hard hitting aggressive ball they are playing right now ... NOBODY wants a piece of Seattle right now, trust me. I think the best is yet to come later this summer.

Team batting avg has really improved over the past 5-6 game stretch. When Murphy is catching and in the batting line-up our top to bottom 1-9 really has no weak spot. Very VERY solid lineup. Nearly all pitchers around the league have yet to settle in due to such limited spring training work and time on the bump facing batters in game scenarios. Lets hope our staff stays healthy. Was just a few years ago the M's lost 3 starting pitchers mid spring to injuries.

Good day to sweep the Royals onto a plane at Sea-Tac and pack our bags and kick some ass on the road.

We need to play .500 ball this road trip ( TB - Marlins and Astros ). Our next road trip in May is a tough nut to crack, 3 VERY SOLID teams: Mets - Blue Jays and BoSox. If we play .500 on that 10 game stretch I am a true believer in this team.
