It was too early at the end of their first road trip to get down on the team with some of their frustrations, and it is too early to go the other way after this homestand.

+17 run differential on the season is great. 5th in the AL in team batting average and tied for 2nd in runs scored. Awesome. 3rd in the AL in team ERA. Encouraging.

Team is 10th in the AL in fielding though with 10 errors to date. And errors directly cost them at least one game they should have won.

The homestand was much needed for a young team trying to establish an identity and build some confidence and team chemistry. They did what decent teams are supposed to do and protect their home against subpar/struggling teams.

Can they take another step and find a way to play .500 ball on the road against quality teams? Feels like they still have some steps to take to reach that level.

So KC is the second lowest scoring team and their only real stud has 2 doubles and an RBI already. Please avoid this man.

A stat I was shocked by. M's pitchers have given up the 4th lowest walks this year. Man it seems like they walk a lot of guys.

And they are #1 in walks on offense. 6 more than the next team in 1 less game.

There is just something special about a switch hitter that can't hit from either side...

Yah #1 in walks and #3 in OBP...

What's funny is if the Umps this year could actually call the correct fucking pitch, Rodriguez would probably have 10 more base on balls.... they need to can Ump calls and go to computers ASAP.... Rodriguez would start getting so many more walks.

And as I type that.... RIP lead... I knew once Steckenrider delivered that ball if that batter swung it was gone.

Yeah. There is no valid reason for humans to be calling balls and strikes anymore when they can do it much better using radar.

Some people argue that it hurts tradition and sanctity of the game, but the vast majority of people I have discussed it with would prefer the calls be consistently correct.
There would still be an ump behind the plate with many other duties. They just wouldn't make the pitching calls.

Its weird that Rodriguez is getting screwed so much. I wonder what the umps have against him.

I wouldn’t say so, but for some reason the acting coach is putting in our worst BP pieces in the highest leverage situations

Been saying it for years... put a fuckin earpiece in their ears and they can still make the call behind the plate so the old farts still watching the sport will be happy. You need a home plate ump anyway for calls at the plate and cycling baseballs, etc. And then post whether it's a ball or strike somewhere on a screen in the stadium so the ump can't lie about it.

And if the computer is only 98% accurate (as some claim), at least there's no bias with a computer and that'd still be better than the umps which seem to get about 10% of every call wrong these days. As for catcher framing? Eh fuck it. I'm getting tired of watching all these shit ball/strike calls and that's what causes all the lame ass ejections and drama in baseball which isn't fun or exciting.. these aren't hockey brawls or Garrett ripping off some guys helmet and beating him with it... it's a player being annoyed when he's usually right, and then two grown ass overweight man screaming at each other for 2-3 minutes while everyone is like, "Oh Jesus Christ, the game is already slow enough, get on with it."

Anyway, /end rant.

He is the type of player that begs the question, "If you can't hit from either side of the plate, are you still considered a switch hitter?".

If Moore could hit or Frazier could field, we would have an All-Star caliber 2B.

If you give him the 10 walks he should have had, he would be sitting at a .238 batting average. Who knows how many more steals he would have had with those extra 10 walks.

It's one of the worst rookie fuck jobs I've ever seen.
