I used a similar argument to defend Rodney. Last year, sure he pitched well. He had a 2.85 ERA last year, so his save rate was justified, but with an ERA of 7, that's going to catch up to him.


I think it's more that his WHIP caught up with him...when you're allowing baserunners as much as he does (his WHIP was worse than the AL average last year), I don't think you'd expect sustained success.

That's what happens when your only good pitch is a fastball at a ZOGMF STAGGERING 95-96 mph... I guess if he could zip them in there at 100 I'd be impressed.

I love it how I keep hearing everyone say that Rodney is the only one we have with an official "out" pitch. Last time I checked, HE CANT GET ANYBODY OUT!!!:gaah:
