I like this draft because the D-line/NT issue that has plagued us for YEARS gets addressed.
However I need to see a good combine/interview from Peppers. I haven't watched tape on him but not convinced he will shut down the middle of the field or excel in having to tackle in the open field.
It may not matter since I don't think we play too much single high.

there are other safety prospects . i picked peppers because he is an athlete . he has played 11 positions in college to include LB . now i wont go down with the ship for him but i get to see him often here in MI so i have seen his work a lot .

we may find a johnson moves up and a peppers moves down

Their could be three first round ILB's in this draft. Bama,Ohio st, and Vandy. I forgot their names. I believe ILB is just as important as DL and S. Of course FA will dictate where we go in the draft.

What about the kid from OS, he plays safety. I think his name is Hooper or something. There were reports he may return to OS next yr not sure though but he is a can't miss type of player.

if we beat the giants and go to the playoffs i think in the draft playoff of teams start drafting around 20 so skins will be picking 20-32 if they go to playoffs and win if they lose to the giants 17-20 bpa in that range would be ilb ,cb nt, g, c,

ok here is my first mock for the 2017 draft . be aware it is very early in the process. guys will move up , guys will move down , FA will change what we will be looking for . here goes

1) jabril peppers s 6-1 207 . i think he will be the BPA at this spot . he fills a need and teamed with sua we could finally end this issue at safety with 2 new young talents he has been RB , wr KR PR qb in wildcat CB LB so he is an athlete

2) jakeel johnson DT 6-4 310 lbs , this guy is likely to move up but d/lineman last season moved down . he is projected here , he is young and big . exactly what we need

3) elijah qualliss DT /NT 6-1 325 lbs i like my NT's short (6-1 range ) because of leverage he is young and teamed with baker and johnson we should be improved

4) vincent taylor de 6-3 310 another young d/lineman at de . he should send RJF and ziggy hood packing

4) kendal beckwith 6-2 251 ILB reputed good tackler should be able to compete in a year or 2

5) brandon facyson CB 6-2 191 lbs i like tall cbs again he would be a developmental guy along the lines of dunbar

6) taylor morton OG/OT 6-5 326 lbs i have seen this kid play he is raw and from a small school which i see often but he could develop nicely into a reliable BU mcshay has jabril drafted at 4 in the first round

6) ricky seals jones 6-5 235 lbs wr we have the tall reggie diggs . this is competition and again he has size and we could use it . (NOT FOR FADES !!!)

7) Josh harvey clemons S 6-5 212 lbs could be brought along like Sua as a hybrid , like his size and range could help vs TES

now there are quite a few safeties with 2nd or 3rd round grades so we can get some help there and johnson could move up so flip flopping the positions is understandable

what do you think ?

i think ricky seals jones would be a perfect for the skins at 6,4 235 he can play WR and he can bulk up and be glass reed back up as the joker TE draft him best case a WR beast worst CASE 2nd or a 3rd TE

I'm interested in Carlos Watkins in the 2nd round, not as a NT but as an DE.
Really hope we get the prototypical NT in FA, could make a difference. Some of these DTs are not going to cut it at 300lbs.

I like the kid Coley from Miami if Jackson leaves. Could probably get him in the 4th.

He's been timed at sub 4.3 40. Doesn't mind blocking either.

Stacy Coley WR 4th? Has been clocked at 4.2 40 and doesn't mind blocking. if Jackson is really gone, I wouldn't mind taking a look at him in the later rounds.

Alvin Kamara RB
Should be there in the 2nd for those who would like a little more balance on offense. Kid and fly.
