I understand the small school thing but I'm still trying to figure out how a 6'3" receiver who runs a 4.4 and was very productive slips to round 6. I'm liking this pick more and more, why just imagine how he would do if Jay would just call a fade pattern now and then.

Wasn't even on my radar as I wasn't following leading into the draft closely but it did surprise me that no QB was picked 4th or later with 10 picks in the arsenal. Also the Nichaelson pick was a bit of a head scratcher to me - could it be they expected Beathard in that spot? I really thought it'd be Peterman in the 4th or 5th myself. Interesting the webs woven and ramifications from the Griffin and Cuz picks.

Could be right Cali. Skins might have projected Beathard with the 4th pick. Peterman was mocked to the Skins in a few places but I never knew whether they had an eye on him. CJ played pretty well his junior year when Iowa had a good team. He wasn't terrible last year but was not as good with a lesser team. Iowa ran a pro style offense. I think he needs a couple of years of learning but might be something down the road so I wasn't shocked when Kyle took him.

Not taking a qb could be very telling in of itself

Could be dad, or could be that as the article suggests the one person they were interested in was already selected. Either way it does not matter at this point. I am still hopeful that Cousins will be here for a few more years.

J.P. Finlay interviewing our top 2 picks. It was like interviewing Shaq and Barkley. Those 2 will have careers after football.

I haven't counted him out coach. I liked that they picked him last year. He needs work but they knew that. Kid might just have a few skills.

He looked like an overgrown HS kid last year with some tools. Sometimes those types of kids change dramatically over the course of a year - on and off the field. I'll be interested to see if that's the case with him this year.
