You're already conceding the NFC East to Dallas?

Nothing to concede. Dallas won the East this past weekend or rather the Redskins couldnt win the East at this point if we won out and Dallas lost out.

With a bit of luck, the Skins MIGHT get a wild card. But lets face facts.. our offense is good when healthy or not suspended. Our defense.... the Bend over and take it just aint going to cut it. So yea, realistic Redskins fans are at least peeking at draft prospects now. And should we lose this weekend, I expect every one will switch to draft focus.

We have to get faster on defense. If that means drafting an OLB #1 I'm for it. Whitner, Kerrigan, Murphy, Smith, Baker, Compton, Foster,.......Breeland and Norman aren't going to catch many from behind either. Speed on the edge, speed at the safety positon. We need some ball hawks that fly around and play fast. I hope Scot recognizes how slow this defense plays.

I'd be shocked if Westbrook goes anywhere before the 5th. He's supposedly been getting women pregnant and then beating them up. key word "women"

ok here is my first mock for the 2017 draft . be aware it is very early in the process. guys will move up , guys will move down , FA will change what we will be looking for . here goes

1) jabril peppers s 6-1 207 . i think he will be the BPA at this spot . he fills a need and teamed with sua we could finally end this issue at safety with 2 new young talents he has been RB , wr KR PR qb in wildcat CB LB so he is an athlete

2) jakeel johnson DT 6-4 310 lbs , this guy is likely to move up but d/lineman last season moved down . he is projected here , he is young and big . exactly what we need

3) elijah qualliss DT /NT 6-1 325 lbs i like my NT's short (6-1 range ) because of leverage he is young and teamed with baker and johnson we should be improved

4) vincent taylor de 6-3 310 another young d/lineman at de . he should send RJF and ziggy hood packing

4) kendal beckwith 6-2 251 ILB reputed good tackler should be able to compete in a year or 2

5) brandon facyson CB 6-2 191 lbs i like tall cbs again he would be a developmental guy along the lines of dunbar

6) taylor morton OG/OT 6-5 326 lbs i have seen this kid play he is raw and from a small school which i see often but he could develop nicely into a reliable BU

6) ricky seals jones 6-5 235 lbs wr we have the tall reggie diggs . this is competition and again he has size and we could use it . (NOT FOR FADES !!!)

7) Josh harvey clemons S 6-5 212 lbs could be brought along like Sua as a hybrid , like his size and range could help vs TES

now there are quite a few safeties with 2nd or 3rd round grades so we can get some help there and johnson could move up so flip flopping the positions is understandable

what do you think ?

Looks good dad.

I won't pick names but positions - DT, ILB/MLB and safety. We are weak up the middle. Doesn't work in baseball, doesn't work in football either.

I like this draft because the D-line/NT issue that has plagued us for YEARS gets addressed.
However I need to see a good combine/interview from Peppers. I haven't watched tape on him but not convinced he will shut down the middle of the field or excel in having to tackle in the open field.
It may not matter since I don't think we play too much single high.
