Stupidity isn't owned by just the Reds. Why would anyone throw a fastball to Frazier or Cozart, or Bruce for that matter, in the zone ? Bruce looks like a pitch guesser to me. He's Mr. Fidget in the box, which is a clue to lack of focus. Toss in a bad guess or three a game, and you get 160 whiffs a year.

Happy to see Ludwick hit but he pulled a jug head running from 3b on an unforced pulled grounder. Missing 3b coach ? Who knows, but a team this spotty on offense ought to watch their investments on the bases a little better.

AZ has holes. They have hit surprisingly well given their unimpressive lineup, Goldie excepted. IMO, can't really consider a contender without some solid starting pitching, and they're pretty thirsty for some in the desert.

I like Gibson's no BS kind of attitude. Might have something to do with AZ willingness to give Upton up. I had to chuckle a little last night when they were talking about a team following the managers demeanor. I guess I should be happy the Reds don't fall asleep out there, huh?

Well the good news is, We got Leake and Latos the next 2 days going. Then we got Brewers coming to our house for 3. So I think the next few days are games we should be able to take care of. Before our boys take off to a very important series in St.Louis.

The bad news is that if you don't score any runs, doesn't matter who you have pitching -- or who you play.

DustMop struck again yesterday with a lineup blunder. After 136 games and getting slaughtered by lefties, you would think the village idiot would have learned something. Toss in the fact that you are facing one of the best lefties the NL can throw at you and it really becomes a no brainer. You have to bench CHOO and put Heisey in the game. I hate this idiot of a manager and his lazy attitude toward the game. DustMop clearly is morphing this team into the greatest bunch of baseball underachievers in the history of the game.

I spent the evening watching my favorite right fielder in indy ball hit TWO inside-the-park home runs in a doubleheader. That's three for him on the year, in addition to leading the league in triples.

Plus, a sweep!

Sometimes you just gotta find other reasons to like baseball.

At least this time we can say the pitcher we lost to wasn't a bum. Corbin is tough, and he was on last night. He's really tough on lefties. Made Votto and Bruce both look impotent, not to mention Choo, who should have been given the night off.

Lots of pitchers are making our lefty hitters look impotent. If the Reds score runs, it's uncalculated unplanned luck.

Corbin has legit stuff. Reds still hit a little. Not a bad effort. Need better tonight.

I had the sound turned off on the 9th inning for some reason, other than Thom is boring.
The ground ball to Votto, the ump took the ball out of play. What was the reason?

Cahill was all over the park in the 3rd, and in the 4th, I leave the room for a minute and come back ... and he's retired the side. Did NO-body in the Reds dugout have a clue about that?

Reds dugout staff, obviously hoping the other team will screw it up, has the goahead run on 1st and no out ... I have an idea, let's let Cozart swing at the first fcking pitch he sees.
Instead of bunting Meso to 2nd, putting in a hitter and maybe scoring the run.

What a fucking mess. 3 hits off this clown.

But I guess 3 out of 4 works, even if it was painful to watch today.
Nice work by Yosemite Sam.
Latos looked sharp.

Arizona would be one bad-ass team if they had 2 more healthy starters and a decent catcher.

Of course, if pigs could fly ... we'd be eating less pork.
