it is smart of their part. put pressure on the refs. it worked in the first period with a weak penalty on Detroit to make it 4-4

Yep. I used to live in Tampa and they haven one good fans but they have a ton of uneducated fans of the game.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I think a defensive struggle can be great to watch if both teams are getting chances and being stopped by the other team, but this was two periods of Detroit getting great chances, failing to convert, and Tampa getting NO chances. It needs to be back and forth rather than somebody weathering the storm until they get lucky.

I agree, as a neutral, the first two periods were rather ho hum and the last only picked up once the Bolts scored.

u guys do realize that it was somewhat hard to hear the whistle on tv. im guessing it was really hard to hear it in the stadium. they don't have the replays we get at home
