Irony is if the goalie doesn't react to the pass at all he probably stops the shot, he slid to angle himself and actually moved out of the way. It's the right play, but it hurts.

No, but it helps. Doesn't help that one team has blocked as many shots as they've put on net by the end of the second period, either.
